The School of Natural Resources and the Environment at West Virginia University is currently accepting applications for Temporary Wild Turkey Field Technician. We are seeking to hire a field technician to assist graduate students with research on wild turkey ecology and management. The field technician will assist with monitoring turkey survival/nesting and collecting associated environmental data. The technician will also help with data entry/organization, and equipment upkeep. This position will work closely with individuals from WVU and the WV Division of Natural Resources. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to work both independently and part of a team Good communication skills Ability to work in harsh weather conditions and in difficult terrain Experience communicating with the public while in the field Basic knowledge of data entry in Excel West Virginia University is a place of purpose and community.
