Specializing in Hollow Metal Doors & Frames and Architectural Wood Doors, this position supports our shop operations by ensuring all door hardware is properly installed, aligned, and prepared for field deployment. If you have a sharp eye for detail, hands-on mechanical skills, and a passion for getting the job done right, this is your opportunity to contribute to a team that values precision and customer satisfaction.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities and Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong><u>Key Responsibilities</u></strong></p>\n<li><strong>Door Preparation & Hardware Installation </strong></li>\n<ul>\n <li>Accurately machine wood and hollow metal doors for commercial hardware, including hinges, locks, latches, closers, vision kits, and other components</li>\n <li>Read and interpret shop drawings, templates, and hardware schedules to ensure precise installation</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<li><strong>Tool & Equipment Operation </strong></li>\n<ul>\n <li>Use woodworking and metalworking tools and machines safely and accurately</li>\n <li>Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<li><strong>Teamwork</strong></li>\n<ul>\n <li>Collaborate effectively with team members while also working independently as needed</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<li><strong>Safety    </strong></li>\n<ul>\n <li>Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment</li>\n <li>Follow all safety protocols and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements to maintain a safe working environment</li>\n <li>Use proper lifting techniques</li>\n <li>Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, safety shoes and clothing</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<li><strong>Physical Requirements </strong></li>\n<ul>\n <li>Frequent use of hands and arms for equipment operation, grasping and manipulation</li>\n <li>Frequent pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying building materials weighing approximately 100 pounds, using proper lifting procedures; and occasionally pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying greater weights.  Pushing and pulling carts loaded carts over various distances and surfaces.  Some functions may be performed as a team</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Additional physical requirements may be needed as duties are assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<li><strong>Miscellaneous </strong></li>\n<ul>\n <li>Support our values in the stated areas of Safety, Customer Focus, Teamwork, Integrity and being a Company of Choice for both employees and customers</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>Qualifications</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>1–2 years minimum experience in commercial door and hardware installation</li>\n <li>Solid knowledge of commercial doors (wood and hollow metal) and their associated hardware</li>\n <li>Proficient in using woodworking and metalworking tools and machines</li>\n <li>Ability to interpret technical documents such as hardware schedules and templates</li>\n <li>Dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to quality work</li>\n <li>Strong organizational and time management skills</li>\n <li>Knowledge of ANSI/BHMA standards</li>\n <li>Experience with fire-rated door labeling or door/frame fabrication</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Compensation and Benefits</h2>\n<p><strong><u>Reports To</u></strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong><u>Compensation </u></strong></p>\n<p>The listed pay range reflects the expected base rate for this position; actual compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and cost of living in the assigned market.
