    "description": "<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>POSITION SUMMARY</strong></p>\n<p>To assist the Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist in planning and implementation of recreational activities and programmatic events for the children in the Children’s Center.</p>\n<p><strong> </strong></p>\n<p><strong>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p>\n<p><em>Every effort has been made to identify the essential functions of this position. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related, or is an essential function of the position.</em></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Understands and promotes Elizabeth Seton Children’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values to ensure application with organizational policies and procedures.</li>\n <li>Continually strive to improve the organization’s systems and/or services.</li>\n <li>Make decisions as a team to fulfill our mission, share recognition, and learn from failures.</li>\n <li>Treat every resident, family member, and co-worker with dignity, respect, and courtesy.</li>\n <li>Complete daily session attendance/statistics in the EMR</li>\n <li>Assist in decorating of facility for holidays and events.</li>\n <li>Assist in selection, planning and implementation of special events.</li>\n <li>Maintain supplies in orderly manner. Assist in selection and ordering of supplies.</li>\n <li>Attend all pertinent educational in services and neighborhood team meetings.</li>\n <li>Assist CTRS with implementation of individual and group activities.</li>\n <li>Provide individual activities as assigned by neighborhood CTRS.</li>\n <li>Keep neighborhood CTRS informed on all resident participation and response to individual and group activities.</li>\n <li>Maintain and be able to have a flexible schedule</li>\n <li>Other related duties as may become necessary or as directed by the neighborhood CTRS, Chief Rehabilitation Officer and/or Vice President of Operations.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education Requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Diploma; Associate degree in Therapeutic Recreation or Health Related Field preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Experience</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>2 years of related experience; experience with pediatric population preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Employee Requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language fluently.</li>\n <li>Must meet or exceed all health standards and requirements for the position as established by NYDOH and all other regulatory agencies.</li>\n <li>Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of this Center which includes a medical and physical examination.</li>\n <li>Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of fifty (50) pounds.</li>\n <li>Perform tasks that may involve exposure to the resident’s blood/body fluids.</li>\n <li>Must be able to assist in the evacuation of residents, if necessary.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Working Conditions:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Will work in a well-lighted and ventilated area.</li>\n <li>Will be subject to frequent interruptions.</li>\n <li>May be asked to work beyond normal working hours, and in other positions temporarily, when necessary.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Salary Range:</strong></p>\n<p>$25.94/Hr. To $27.79/Hr.</p>",
