          "text": "<p>The Mechanic is responsible for supporting mechanical works related to Sequential Excavation Method (SEM) and tunneling operations. This role ensures the safe, efficient installation, operation, and maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment. The SEM Mechanic works closely with project teams to support schedules, uphold quality standards, maintain equipment reliability, and resolve mechanical issues that may impact tunneling progress.</p><p><strong><em>Key Responsibilities</em></strong></p><p><em>Mechanical Supervision</em></p><ul><li>Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and operation of mechanical equipment used in SEM and tunneling works.</li><li>Ensure all mechanical tasks are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications and technical requirements.</li></ul><p><em>Project Coordination</em></p><ul><li>Work collaboratively with engineers, foremen, site managers, and other trades to support mechanical activities within the overall tunneling workflow.</li><li>Ensure mechanical tasks are integrated smoothly into the excavation and support sequence without disrupting other operations.</li></ul><p><em>Quality Control</em></p><ul><li>Follow established quality control procedures to ensure compliance with project standards and specifications.</li><li>Conduct inspections on mechanical installations, components, and repairs to maintain high workmanship standards.</li></ul><p><em>Safety Management</em></p><ul><li>Adhere to all safety regulations, procedures, and best practices related to tunneling and mechanized works.</li><li>Participate in safety briefings and ensure safe work practices are consistently followed.</li></ul><p><em>Resource Management</em></p><ul><li>Support the management of tools, materials, consumables, and mechanical components needed for SEM operations.</li><li>Ensure required mechanical resources are available when needed and report shortages or issues promptly.</li></ul><p><em>Reporting</em></p><ul><li>Maintain accurate records of mechanical work, including daily logs, equipment usage, inspections, and maintenance activities.</li><li>Provide timely updates to supervisors regarding mechanical tasks and equipment status.</li></ul><p><em>Problem Solving</em></p><ul><li>Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues that arise during SEM or tunneling operations.</li><li>Collaborate with supervisors and engineers to develop effective solutions that minimize operational delays.</li></ul><p><em>Equipment Management</em></p><ul><li>Assist in the maintenance, repair, and proper functioning of all mechanical equipment used in SEM and tunneling.</li><li>Coordinate with the equipment manager to ensure machinery remains in optimal working condition and that preventive maintenance schedules are followed.</li></ul>",
