JOB TITLE: Front Counter
CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt – Part Time
DEPARTMENT: CRE/Aquatics
SUPERVISOR: Aquatics Manager
SALARY: $14.00 Per Hour
GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
To provide customer service for a busy facility; possess the ability to communicate with the public on matters of the Cheyenne Aquatics Center.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Receive the public and answers questions, in person and by telephone.
Provide excellent customer service.
Operate computers and Rec Trac/Web Trac and relevant software.
Answer multi-line phone system and directs calls accordingly.
Assist the public with the use of the Aquatics facility.
Practice basic principles and practices of general accounting and maintain a cash drawer.
Operate office equipment efficiently as required.
Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
Maintain office supply inventory.
SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, City officials, and the public.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Work independently in the absence of supervision.
Respond to requests and inquiries from the public.
Principles and practices of public relations

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to maintain effective audio-visual discrimination and perception needed for making observations, communicating with others, reading, and writing. The employee is also required to maintain physical condition necessary for operating assigned equipment, walking, standing, kneeling, repeated bending or sitting for prolonged periods of time. Maintain mental capacity which allows the capability of making sound decisions demonstrating intellectual capabilities.
Working Environment :
Work closely with others in an office environment utilizing a computer and other office equipment.
