Catering to companies of all sizes and industries, including some of the world's largest brands, Sonatafy Technology is a trusted provider of nearshore enterprise-level cloud and mobile application software development services.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Sonatafy Technology is seeking a<span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span> </span>Principal Engineer<span> </span></span>to lead complex software architecture initiatives, drive modernization efforts, and lead high-performing engineering teams. This senior role blends architecture, hands-on development, and strategic problem-solving for enterprise clients building next-generation systems. You will guide multiple engineering teams through the design and delivery of scalable, event-driven platforms, establish technical standards, and ensure world-class engineering practices.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead architecture design across distributed, event-driven, and microservices-based systems.</li>\n<li>Enforce clean architecture and SOLID principles, ensuring alignment across multiple engineering pods.</li>\n<li>Guide the adoption of emerging technologies, including Generative AI Development Toolchains, LLMs, and automation-driven engineering practices.</li>\n<li>Establish technical standards for code quality, CI/CD automation, testing, and documentation.</li>\n<li>Partner with executives, product managers, and DevOps to translate business challenges into scalable technical solutions.</li>\n<li>Lead client-facing technical discussions and solution architecture sessions during pre-sales engagements.</li>\n<li>Collaborate with the sales and delivery teams to design and present proposals, technical roadmaps, and proofs of concept that address client pain points.</li>\n<li>Participate in RFP/RFI responses, estimating, and solution scoping with a focus on clear business outcomes.</li>\n<li>Build trusted relationships with clients through strong communication, thought leadership, and credibility as a senior engineering partner.</li>\n<li>Mentor engineers and foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous learning.</li>\n<li>Serve as a trusted advisor capable of bridging business priorities with technical strategy.</li>\n<li>Mentor engineers and foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous learning.</li>\n<li>Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, and sprint retrospectives to ensure technical excellence.</li>\n<li>Serve as a trusted advisor for clients, capable of translating complex technology strategies into business outcomes.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Required Qualifications:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of 10 years of software development in data-centric Win32/Web applications using Microsoft tools:</li>\n<li>.NET, HTML, ASP, Microsoft SQL Server</li>\n<li>Expert-level understanding of relational databases (preferably MSSQL)</li>\n<li>Proven success leading or managing senior-level teams within Scrum/Agile environments</li>\n<li>Hands-on experience with Generative AI tools and techniques, including GitHub Copilot and Prompt Engineering</li>\n<li>Preferred experience with ASP.NET, WCF, Web Services, XML, SQL Server, Windows Services, UX Design, JavaScript, CSS, Domain-Driven Design, and nServiceBus</li>\n<li>Previous leadership in Agile or SAFe-based SDLC environments</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Specialized Skills:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Knowledge of Large Language Models (LLMs), Agentic AI, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) and their application in automation and feature engineering</li>\n<li>Strong understanding of consumer lending business processes</li>\n<li>Deep knowledge of design patterns and best practices for scalable architecture</li>\n<li>Proven ability to collaborate across departments (Product, Engineering, QA) to manage dependencies and technical initiatives</li>\n<li>Ownership mindset with strong decision-making, analytical, and communication skills</li>\n<li>Ability to ensure development processes deliver high-quality user experiences aligned with business goals</li>\n<li>Strategic thinker capable of defining long-term software roadmaps aligned with organizational priorities</li>\n<li>Track record of coaching teams, improving performance, and fostering a culture of innovation and learning</li>\n<li>Leadership presence, calm under pressure, and a genuine team-first approach</li>\n<li>Broad technical curiosity across multiple programming languages, frameworks, and tools</li>\n<li>Skilled at balancing priorities, managing deadlines, and ensuring delivery excellence</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Why Work with Sonatafy?</span></p>\n<p>At Sonatafy, you'll join a community of highly skilled engineers across Latin America supporting innovative U.S.-based teams.
