Ability to walk pedestrians safely across busy intersections and react safely and quickly to traffic conditions. Must be able to display a school crossing stop sign (weight up to 5 lbs) in an upright position so that it is visible to vehicular traffic approaching each direction and extend the other arm out parallel for one – three minutes on a frequent basis. Ability to perform all physical requirements of the activities. Must be able to perform duties outside in all diverse weather conditions. Successful applicant must obtain acceptable security clearance (must provide a Criminal Record Check including the vulnerable sector and pardoned sexual offenders) from the Ontario Provincial Police at the applicant’s expense. Medical certificate may be required upon request. Supply of a personal vehicle may be required.
