Our FCSN After School Program is looking to hire an instructor who enjoys working with special needs individuals. Our team focuses a lot on teamwork and positivity! We are looking for someone who understands the individual needs of our clients and has the patience and the passion to work with them.</span></p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS &amp; KEY RESPONSIBILITIES</span></span><br><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">● Prepare snacks and teaching materials for the after school program.</span><br><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">● Receive clients from their school bus upon their arrival at the program.</span><br><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">● Provide basic hygiene and self-care needs for those clients who need them.</span><br><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">● Work and engage with the clients while they are at the program.</span><br><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">● Follow all safety rules and ensure the safety of our clients.</span><br><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">● Plan, facilitate and implement different class activities to meet the physical, emotional and social needs of the clients in the program (i.e. cooking, life skills, arts and craft, science, Social skills, music &amp; dance, etc.).</span><br><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">● Promote a positive environment for our clients to learn in.</span><br><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">● Assist in creating obtainable goals and objectives for each client.</span><br><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">● Supervise and manage client behaviors as necessary.</span><br><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">● Ensure equipment and the facility are clean, well maintained and safe at all times.</span><br><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">● Maintain classroom organization and participate in daily clean-up of the facility.</span><br><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">● Ensure a positive, safe and healthy environment and complete daily tasks assigned.</span><br><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">● Attend monthly staff meetings.</span><br><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">● Able to stand, walk, squat, reach, and move around the work environment to assist clients.</span><br><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">● Able to lift, carry, push or pull items up to 30 pounds as needed to assist clients.</span><br><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">● Must be able to adapt to changing client needs and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.</span><br><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">● Complete Daily Progress Notes (DPN) for each client in a timely manner</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS</span><br><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">1.<span style=\"font-weight: bold\"> Education:</span> Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.</span><br><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">2. <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Experience:</span> Preferably some experience or studies in education, special needs or with school-aged clients.</span><br><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">3. <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Professional Skills</span>:</span><br><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">● Must be reliable, a team player, has good communication skills and be able to work with minimal supervision.</span><br><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt\">● Must be fluent in English.
