As the nation’s first adoption and trauma specific residential treatment center, we provide a supportive environment where we combine treatment with academics and adventure to help young people overcome challenges such as trauma, family issues, and mental health concerns.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>About the Role:</strong></p>\n<p>As an <strong>Assistant House Manager</strong>, you'll play an important role in supporting and guiding the youth in our care along with fostering growth in your team. This isn’t just about supervising – it’s about building relationships and making a positive impact in the clients lives and your team. You’ll spend your time with students in various activities like cultural outings, experiential therapies like art, music, yoga, outdoor adventures and many other on and off-campus activities, all while ensuring their safety and promoting personal growth.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Leadership and Supervision:</strong> Support your team lead to oversee and support shift staff and mentors, lead by example, and recognize exceptional performance and share in all daily home operations.</li>\n <li><strong>Direct Client Support:</strong> Develop and foster trusting relationships with the Young Adults (18 – 20 years old) in our care, providing mental health support and interventions to promote improved emotional management, and teaching life skills important to this transitional stage of life.</li>\n <li><strong>Training and Development:</strong> Conduct ongoing training to continuously develop team members.</li>\n <li><strong>Performance and Discipline Management:</strong> Evaluate staff performance regularly and administer disciplinary actions when necessary.</li>\n <li><strong>Operations and Delegation:</strong> Delegate responsibilities to ensure smooth shift operations and assist with shift coverage as needed.</li>\n <li><strong>Communication and Safety:</strong> Maintain effective communication during shift changes and ensure safety compliance through drills and protocols.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Bachelor’s Degree</strong> in Psychology, Social Work, or related field.\n  <ul>\n   <li>Can accept High School Diploma or GED equivalent with <strong>3 + years</strong> experience working in behavioral health or residential treatment settings.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n <li>Be at least 21 years old.   </li>\n <li>Combination of 1 -2 years prior management and/or RTC experience <strong>required.</strong></li>\n <li><strong>Prior Behavioral Health Experience</strong> <strong>REQUIRED.</strong></li>\n <li>Valid driver’s licenses for the state of employment and ability to be covered by organization insurance. </li>\n <li>Have experience in a leadership role and able to demonstrate strong leadership skills.</li>\n <li>Be able to pass a drug screening and background check. </li>\n <li>Complete CPR and SCM certification. </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Benefits</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Comprehensive Benefit Program</strong> that includes medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, voluntary life and AD&D insurance, long-term disability, 401K with company matching, PTO, and paid parental leave.</li>\n <li><strong>Robust (EAP)</strong> Employee Assistance Program.</li>\n <li><strong>Proven Positive Outcomes</strong>: You’ll have the satisfaction of knowing that your work is making a tangible difference in the lives of young adults and adolescents.</li>\n <li><strong>Holistic Family Approach:</strong> Calo recognizes the importance of treating families which is crucial for sustained recovery and well-being for teens.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><em>Calo is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
