They will lead both scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance. &nbsp;This position acts in a supervisory capacity in the absence of the shop supervisor. &nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong><u>CORE RESPONSIBILITIES</u></strong></p><ol><li>Perform failure analysis and report findings to maintenance management.&nbsp;</li><li>Lead other personnel in the diagnosis and replacement of components</li><li>Train new hires on data maintenance software and correctly following shop policy and procedures</li><li>Perform and document audits on work leaving the shop to maintain Quality Control</li><li>Maintain Quality Assurance by ensuring repairs are done following proper procedures</li><li>Triage work load to determine time/skill requirements and assign work orders in absence of shift supervisor</li><li>Perform preventative maintenance and technical inspections and complete follow up repairs in a timely fashion without come backs</li><li>Perform diagnosis and component replacement on Class 8 trucks</li><li>Participate in root cause analysis</li><li>Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when and where required.</li><li>Report immediately any safety violations and correcting unsafe acts or conditions.</li><li>Comply with company safety policies and with applicable state and federal regulations.</li><li>May be required to drive a vehicle with a gross vehicle weight (GVW) not to exceed 26,000 pounds within the confines of the company footprint.</li><li>Requisition parts as necessary and maintain accountability of inventory.</li><li>Maintain repair order documentation to include repair description, parts used and repair times.</li><li>Ensure the work area is clean and neat.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ol><p><br></p><p><strong><u>REQUIRED SKILLS &amp; QUALIFICATIONS</u></strong></p><ul><li>At least 3 or more years of diesel experience</li><li>At least 1 year of experience in the waste industry</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English</li><li>Effective time management skills</li><li>Ability to explain troubleshooting procedure for hydraulic, electrical, mechanical and pneumatic components</li><li>Ability to read labels, safety warnings, and guidelines</li><li>Ability to pay attention to detail and remain alert to ensure safety</li><li>Ability to understand and follow instructions and to communicate with co-workers</li><li>Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><u>PREFERRED SKILLS &amp; QUALIFICATIONS</u></strong></p><ul><li>High school diploma or its equivalent</li><li>Texas Class B Commercial Driver&rsquo;s License</li><li>Safe driving for the last five years&nbsp;</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong><u>REQUIRED LICENSES &amp; CERTIFICATIONS</u></strong></p><ul><li>Valid Class C Drivers license</li><li>Safe driving record for the past three years</li><li>Completion of 3 of the following<ul><li>DOT Inspectors License</li><li>ASE Certification in 2 exams T1-T8 (Additional completions count toward additional certification requirements)</li><li>Mack Online Training Path, Technician Level A</li><li>Meritor Bullpen AND Stemco Curriculum</li><li>Allison, McNeilus, Cummins, Mack, Paccar or other relevant OEM Certification (Additional completions count toward additional certification requirements)</li></ul></li></ul><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>#DIESELMECHANIC #DIESEL #MECHANIC #10KBONUS</p></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div>\n",
