Description
Position Summary:
Horatio is seeking a Senior Manager, Human Resources to lead and scale our HR function in Honduras. This role will drive the overall people strategy, ensuring alignment between HR initiatives and business objectives while fostering a high-performing, compliant, and engaging work environment. The Senior Manager, Human Resources will oversee all HR operations, partner closely with senior leadership, and play a critical role in organizational growth, culture, and talent development.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and oversee the daily operations of the Human Resources department, ensuring efficiency and alignment with business goals. Partner with senior leadership to develop and execute HR strategies that support organizational growth and workforce planning. Design, implement, and continuously improve HR programs, policies, and processes across core areas, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, compensation & benefits, and learning & development. Provide leadership and direction to the HR team, including hiring, coaching, and performance management. Oversee employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and investigations, ensuring consistency and compliance with company policies and Honduran Labor Law. Drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement, retention, and organizational culture. Lead workforce planning and talent acquisition strategies to meet current and future business needs. Analyze HR metrics and trends to inform decision-making and improve organizational effectiveness. Ensure full compliance with applicable labor laws and regulations; proactively update policies and practices as needed. Stay current on HR trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies; translate insights into actionable improvements. Advise senior leadership on evolving HR practices and drive the adoption of scalable, innovative solutions. Develop and manage the HR department budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources aligned with business priorities. Lead the ongoing development of the HR team through training, certifications, and career growth initiatives. Perform other duties as required to support business objectives. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience in a senior Human Resources leadership role, with a strong balance of strategic and operational expertise. Strong business acumen and the ability to align HR strategies with organizational goals. Deep knowledge of HR best practices across all functional areas. Demonstrated experience managing employee relations, investigations, and complex HR matters. Experience with HR systems, data analysis, and reporting to drive insights and decisions. In-depth knowledge of Honduran Labor Law and regulatory requirements. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred. 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including leadership responsibilities in a managerial or senior role. Strong command of English (written and verbal) required.
