Job Description Position: Sustainability Analyst Primary Location: Home Based - US or Canada Reports to: Senior Director Environmental Risk Compensation: $85-90,000.00 + bonus + benefits. (salaried, exempt) The range shown reflects the targeted pay scale. Actual pay within the range depends on work location and factors such as skills, experience, and education. Specific salary details can be discussed during the hiring process. Posted compensation reflects base salary only and excludes bonuses, benefits, pension contributions, and other incentives. About This Role and You Our Sustainability Analyst will work with a cross-function team managing and further developing Chemtrade’s sustainability program. The position will involve collecting and analyzing data related to Chemtrade’s internal and external sustainability goals. The position will also be responsible for assisting in reporting data internally via reports and presentations and externally via sustainability reports, third party evaluations and customer requests. Qualifications · High school diploma or equivalent. 2 Year degree in Environmental Science, Engineering or a related field required. 4 Year degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering or a related field preferred. · 3 to 5 years’ experience in sustainability or related field. · Knowledge of sustainability frameworks, GHG protocols and resources. · Strong analytical, data management and problem-solving skills are essential. · Excellent project management skills and ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines. · Ability to work and influence a cross-functional team. · Excellent verbal and written communications skills. · Proficiency in Microsoft Software (Word, Excel and Access) and extensive Internet search capabilities. · Passion for sustainability, innovation and attention to detail. · Willingness to travel (10-15%), both in US and Canada. Desirable Skills: · Certifications in environmental, safety, or industrial hygiene beneficial (Examples: Certified Safety Professional, Certified Industrial Hygienist, Certified Hazardous Materials Manager, Professional Engineer, etc.). · Knowledge of Responsible Care and other Environmental Management Systems. Responsibilities · Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret data on energy, water, waste, and emissions using ESG metrics. 45% · Strategy & Implementation: Develop and implement initiatives to meet sustainability goals, improve resource efficiency, and reduce environmental impact. 20% · Reporting: Prepare internal and external sustainability reports (e.g., GRI, CDP, Ecovadis), ensuring accuracy and compliance. 10% · Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams (operations, marketing) and external partners (customers, suppliers, regulators). 20% · Research & Compliance: Stay current on sustainability regulations, trends, and best practices, providing expertise and training. 5% What Chemtrade Offers You Embracing Diversity, Maximizing Results At Chemtrade we are committed to cultivating a work environment that embraces and values the unique qualities, skills, and experiences of every employee.
