Description

Description About LCH Health and Community Services LCH Health and Community Services (LCH) is a non-profit Federally Qualified Health Center and Patient-Centered Medical Home serving southern Chester County, Pennsylvania. LCH provides high-quality, integrated, whole-person care in a bilingual and bicultural environment, ensuring access for all regardless of ability to pay. Why This Role Matters Southern Chester County is growing, and so are the needs of the communities we serve. Many of our patients face complex medical, behavioral health, and social challenges that require more than traditional clinical care. As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), LCH is often the only access point for families who would otherwise go without essential services. But the reality is clear: Reimbursement alone cannot sustain the level of care our community deserves. Philanthropy fuels the innovation, outreach, and wraparound support that allows LCH to meet people where they are and remove barriers to care. The Director of Development plays a pivotal role in ensuring that LCH can continue to grow, evolve, and deliver high‑quality, whole‑person care to all. This is not just a fundraising position—it is a mission‑critical leadership role that directly strengthens the health and future of our community. Position Summary The Director of Development is LCH’s senior fundraising leader, responsible for designing and executing a comprehensive philanthropic strategy that advances our mission and expands our impact. Reporting to the CEO and serving as a key member of the senior leadership team, this role leads to all aspects of fundraising, including major gifts, annual giving, grants, and planned giving. The Director of Development builds and stewards’ relationships with donors, partners, and community leaders, while cultivating a strong culture of philanthropy across the organization. This is a highly visible, externally facing role for a strategic, relationship‑driven leader who can translate LCH’s mission into compelling opportunities for investment. Core Responsibilities Fundraising Strategy & Revenue Growth Develop and implement a multi‑year fundraising strategy aligned with organizational priorities Set and achieve annual philanthropic revenue goals across all giving streams Build and manage a robust pipeline of prospects to support immediate and long‑term needs Track performance, analyze trends, and adjust strategies to ensure sustainable growth Major Gifts & Donor Engagement Serve as LCH’s lead major‑gifts fundraiser Manage a portfolio of high‑capacity donors and prospects Create meaningful donor recognition and stewardship experiences Board & Leadership Engagement Partner with the Board of Directors to strengthen their role in fundraising Coach and support Board members in donor identification, cultivation, and solicitation Foster a culture of philanthropy across leadership and staff Grants & Institutional Giving Lead strategy for foundation and corporate giving Oversee prospecting, proposal development, reporting, and compliance Ensure disciplined grants management and stewardship Community Presence & Partnerships Serve as a visible ambassador for LCH in the community Build relationships with community leaders, partners, and stakeholders Identify and pursue new funding opportunities and strategic partnerships Development Operations & Infrastructure Oversee development systems, processes, and data management to support effective fundraising Ensure accurate tracking, acknowledgment, and reporting of all gifts Strengthen internal infrastructure to support a scalable development program Position Expectations: Maintain strict confidentiality of all donors and prospect information Collaborate effectively across clinical and administrative teams Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and strong organizational leadership Perform other duties as needed to advance the mission and success of LCH.
