    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Kimley-Horn’s Orlando, FLorida (FL) office is seeking a Power Studies Engineer with 5+ years experience to join their Power Delivery  team. With a focus on serving clients within the power delivery and renewable energy sectors, the Power Studies Engineer will act as a technical expert in the design, analysis, and optimization of electrical power systems. This is not a remote position. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Support the power electrical team to analyze systems, create software models, and write reports for power delivery or generation projects</li>\n <li>Assist with project design, specifications, and plans support</li>\n <li>Review work with quality in mind to confirm compliance with Kimley-Horn quality standards</li>\n <li>Studies performed may include (per candidate experience):</li>\n <li>Arc Flash, Short Circuit, and Coordination studies using ETAP or SKM</li>\n <li>Load Flow / Reactive Power Analysis</li>\n <li>Thermal Ampacity studies using software like AmpCalc or CYMCAP </li>\n <li>Grounding studies using WinIGS, CDEGS, or SKM Ground Mat</li>\n <li>Transient studies using PSS/E, PSCAD, or PSLF</li>\n <li>Harmonic studies using ETAP or transient software</li>\n <li>Relay setting development using SEL AcSELerator  </li>\n <li>Partner with the electrical team to create calculations anddrawings for power delivery and/or renewable energy projects</li>\n <li>Continually gain knowledge in industry </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>5+ years’ experience as an Electrical Engineer for an engineering firm or EPC </li>\n <li>Project management experience preferred</li>\n <li>PE certification or path to move towards certification is preferred </li>\n <li>CYMCAP, SKM, ETAP, EMTP-RV, PSS/E, PSCAD, WinIGS, or CDEGS experience preferred </li>\n <li>Understanding or willing to learn, the NEC 2020 and IEEE standards and keep up with emerging technologies </li>\n <li>General understanding of engineering and energy systems </li>\n <li>Load Flow, Coordination, Short Circuit, and Arc Flash studies basic theory and methodology </li>\n <li>Proficiency using Computer-Aided Design and Drafting (AutoCAD) </li>\n <li>Proficient with Microsoft Office </li>\n <li>Ability to work and manage several project teams concurrently </li>\n <li>The ability to work independently or in a team environment effectively </li>\n <li>The ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Why Kimley-Horn?</h2>\n<p>At Kimley-Horn, we do things differently.
