It is through their efforts and talents that Titan has been successful for over 100 years.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Titan America is currently seeking an experienced <strong>Truck Mechanic</strong> to work in its Richmond, VA facility and surrounding areas. This is an hourly position reporting directly to the Maintenance Supervisor.  The primary responsibility of this position is to perform maintenance and repair of various types of mobile equipment in the company shop or on public roadways, as necessary and maximize equipment availability through the use of efficient and proactive preventative maintenance programs.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform routine and emergency maintenance and repair of Mixer Trucks, Loaders, and other heavy equipment</li>\n <li>Perform inspection, diagnosis, and repair of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, suspensions, drive-train components, electrical, air conditioning, air brakes, computer diagnostics and basic welding</li>\n <li>Analyze blueprints, drawings, work orders and diagrams in order to troubleshoot, repair and install equipment</li>\n <li>Perform daily preventative maintenance inspections, repairs, and scheduling</li>\n <li>Perform preventive maintenance inspections (PMI); troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild major components on vehicles and equipment; ensure accurate diagnosis and effective repair and/or replacement of components</li>\n <li>Utilize vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs</li>\n <li>Complete required paperwork associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times</li>\n <li>Work under limited supervision using written or verbal instructions and established procedures to accomplish assigned tasks</li>\n <li>Identify multiple projects and prioritize work to maximize truck utilization and plant productivity</li>\n <li>Communicate clearly and effectively at various levels to obtain and provide information needed to accomplish goals</li>\n <li>Maximize equipment availability through the use of efficient and proactive preventative maintenance programs</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required Experience: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>1-2 years related experience and/or training in automotive or commercial vehicle repair </li>\n <li>Proficiency in diagnosing and repair of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, suspensions, drive-train components, electrical, air conditioning, air brakes, and computer diagnostics</li>\n <li>Previous experience doing preventative maintenance inspections and scheduling</li>\n <li>Knowledge of electrical troubleshooting and repair, certification preferred</li>\n <li>Strong mechanical skills and the ability to problem solve, E7 or MP7 engine experience preferred</li>\n <li>Ready-mix industry knowledge or related industry a plus</li>\n <li>CDL preferred or ability to obtain a CDL license</li>\n <li>Dedication to maintain the highest standard of safety in all aspects of the job</li>\n <li>Must provide own tools</li>\n <li>High school diploma or equivalent</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Working Environment</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times</li>\n <li>Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required</li>\n <li>Working outdoors with exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold and other outdoor environmental conditions, constant standing and walking, climbing, working from heights and lifting up to 75 lbs.</li>\n <li>Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and overtime</li>\n <li>Ability to pass pre-employment processes including criminal background check, physical and drug screen</li>\n <li>Travel between local sites as needed, travel as much as 100% of the time </li>\n</ul>\n<p>                                                                                                                                </p>\n<p>Titan America LLC offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, life, matching 401K, paid vacation and holidays).</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Titan America is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) / Affirmative Action employer and welcomes all qualified applicants.
