This is a PRN PT position at Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation in Lakeway.  The position will cover our inpatient rehab unit and includes the requirement of working a minimum of two days per month on high need days. The candidate will collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to treat medically complex patients that include stroke, brain injury, SCI and other acquired neuro diagnosis and co-morbidities.  We are seeking a candidate with strong neurological rehab skills who works well in a team setting. We are open to recent but not new graduates with previous Rehab or Acute hospital experience with cognitive rehab, brain injury and stroke.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>Evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements and modifies treatment plan in accordance with the patient’s need and physician direction. Responsible for delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for those assigned patients. Ensures the design of functional and patient-centered treatment programs allowing for an effective return to community, vocational or academic activities. Serves as an educator of patients, families, students, co-workers and self. Performs other professional duties associated with the care of the patient, development of discipline-specific therapy services and design of program delivery. No new grads. Specific Duties:</p>\n<ul>\n <li> Evaluate the patient's level of functioning and develop an individualized treatment plan aligned with patient and family goals.</li>\n <li>Participates in discharge planning including, patient and family education, and recommendation of DME, community mobility as able.</li>\n <li>IPR- Inpatient rehabilitation Hospital- minimum of 2 weekend days per month are required/ 24 shifts per year minimum.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Preferred Skills:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Acute or IPR experience preferred</li>\n <li>Previous experience with the adult Neuro population</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Minimum Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Physical Therapist required.</li>\n <li>Certified BLS or completion in the first 90 days of employment required..</li>\n</ul>\n<p>#BSWIR- Inpatient</p>\n<h2>Additional Data</h2>\n<p><em>Equal Opportunity Employer including Disabled/Veterans</em></p>",
