Handling and serving residents in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort.</p><p>2. Learn to recognize signs and symptoms of adverse reactions.</p><p>3. Following instructions and directions of the Charge Nurse of the station to establish facility routine and policy.</p><p>4. Give direct resident care such as bathing or assisting residents with bed baths, showers or tub baths; positioning of residents in bed; routine oral hygiene and denture care; assisting residents in transfers and ambulating; giving bedpan and urinal and commode when necessary; preparing residents for meals and feeding when necessary.</p><p>5. Passing out nourishment and drinking water.</p><p>6. Giving related resident care such as helping in admissions, transfers and discharges of residents; giving post mortem care.</p><p>7. Giving residents care treatments such as taking temperatures, pulses, respirations and blood pressures; applying ice bags; recording fluid intake and output; collecting specimens and taking care of Foley catheters.</p><p>8. Using equipment such as bed cradles; Hoyer lifts; wheelchairs, walkers; canes, crutches, sphygmomanometers and stethoscopes.</p><p>9.
