This role requires deep expertise in complex lay-ups, curing processes, and precision trimming/finishing operations. The Composite Technician III serves as a technical leader on the team, supports process improvements, and works closely with Engineering, Quality, and Production leadership to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery.</p><p style=\"margin-left:9.0pt;\"><strong>Primary Responsibilities:&nbsp;</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Perform inspection, repair, modification, and refurbishment of aircraft composite structures in accordance with approved engineering and maintenance documentation.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Execute composite repairs including bonded repairs, laminate repairs, core repairs, wet layups, vacuum bagging, and adhesive bonding operations.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Remove, replace, and install structural components, hardware, bonded assemblies, and aircraft subassemblies as required.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, maintenance manuals, and repair procedures to accomplish assigned tasks.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Conduct damage assessments and identify structural discrepancies including cracks, delamination, disbonding, corrosion, wear, and impact damage.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Complete required maintenance records, repair documentation, and inspection reports in accordance with company procedures.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Perform aircraft disassembly, reassembly, operational checks, and support return-to-service activities following maintenance actions.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Maintain compliance with quality, safety, configuration control, and workmanship standards while ensuring proper handling of composite materials and repair consumables.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, and Production personnel to resolve repair-related issues and support aircraft readiness objectives.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Perform other duties as necessary and/or required.</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:9.0pt;\"><strong>Basic Requirements:&nbsp;</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">High school diploma or GED and 5+ years of relevant composite fabrication/repair experience</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ability to obtain U.S. Secret Security Clearance</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Advanced proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Highly skilled in the use of tooling and equipment, including calipers, micrometers, torque wrenches, and pneumatic tools</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Strong attention to detail with a demonstrated commitment to quality and process compliance</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Proven ability to work independently and lead efforts within a cross-functional team environment</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Demonstrated ability to perform in a fast-paced production setting</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Completion of recurring FOD training and awareness requirements (upon hire and annually)</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Must be able to obtain a DOT physical and haul trailers to and from offsite location.</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Extensive experience in composites manufacturing or repair in aerospace, defense, or similar industries</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Experience supporting or leading production teams or mentoring junior technicians</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Familiarity with military aviation operations and standard.</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Physical Requirements:&nbsp;</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, including:</p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Prolonged standing, walking, bending, and kneeling</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Perceiving differences in wire and indicator light colors</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Operating hand and power tools</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Lifting, carrying, and/or moving tools, equipment, and components weighing up to 50 pounds</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Working in confined spaces and around aircraft</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ascending and descending ladders or stairs as required.</li></ul><p>The hourly range for this position is $30.00 to $40.00.
