Orients patient to room and unit</li>\n <li>Attends to patient's daily hygiene, including oral care, hair care, baths, peri care, application of glasses, dentures and hearing aids.</li>\n <li>Assists with passing meals, nourishments, water and assists patients as need indicates.</li>\n <li>Acknowledges and meets patients' needs regarding movement and elimination.</li>\n <li>Functions in day-to-day and emergency situations in accordance with nursing standards and as assigned by the nurse.</li>\n <li>Maintains orderly storage of supplies and assists in accounting for chargeable items.</li>\n <li>Documents temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, weights and diet consumption in Electronic Medical Record (EMR).</li>\n <li>Performs Glucose Point of Care.</li>\n <li>Performs EKG’s  </li>\n <li>Applies telemetry equipment to patients using proper lead placement and discontinues equipment use.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Seventy-five (75) Hour Nursing Assistant Course preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Licensure:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Certificate from an approved Nursing Assistant Course is preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Skills/Abilities:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to exercise good judgment, maintain effective interpersonal relationships and adapt to change. </li>\n <li>Ability to organize work. </li>\n <li>Must demonstrate knowledge and skills required for specialized area of assignment. </li>\n <li>Basic Life Support completion required. </li>\n <li>Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide nursing care appropriate to adult and geriatric patients. </li>\n <li>Member of Support Stroke team requiring 2 hours of annual stroke education</li>\n</ul>",
