    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>Pay: $24.00 per hour</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Location:</strong> 2999 US Highway 61 North, Woodville, MS 39669&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Status:</strong> Full Time, 8 hour shifts</p>\n<p><strong>Benefit package includes:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Medical, vision, and prescription drug benefits</li>\n <li>Dental benefits</li>\n <li>Life insurance</li>\n <li>Accidental death and dismemberment insurance</li>\n <li>Short-term and long-term disability benefits</li>\n <li>401(k) retirement plan</li>\n <li>Employee assistance program</li>\n <li>Paid time off (PTO)</li>\n <li>9 paid holidays</li>\n <li>Bereavement leave</li>\n <li>Civic duty and military leave</li>\n <li>Opportunities for job advancement</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Work with a purpose!&nbsp;</strong>Wilkinson County Correctional Facility located in Woodville, MS., is now hiring career-minded people to assist with securing the safety of our community while positively impacting the lives of those on the inside.&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong><u>Position Summary:</u></strong><i> </i>Responsible for conducting investigations and reviews of institutional operations in compliance with American Correctional Association (ACA) Standards, Management &amp; Training Corporation (MTC), and Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC) directives.</p>\n<p><strong><u>Essential Functions:</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Conduct investigations as directed by the warden</li>\n <li>Assist in gathering intelligence and maintaining accurate records to documents the activities of individuals suspected or known to pose a threat to the security of the institution</li>\n <li>Assist in processing grievances filed by inmates in compliance with all MDOC requirements regarding the inmate grievance system</li>\n <li>Assist in providing written decisions to inmate grievances in a confidential, impartial and effective manner</li>\n <li>Assist in training staff and inmates on the inmate grievance system</li>\n <li>Conduct scheduled reviews of facility operations and programming, including staff training programs, as directed</li>\n <li>Write accurate, timely reports documenting information pertaining to investigations and institutional reviews, and distribute as required by institutional procedures</li>\n <li>Testify at hearing or in court proceedings, presenting evidence of violations</li>\n <li>Promote the development of positive social skills through modeling appropriate behaviors and intervening when inappropriate behaviors are observed; provide regular feedback to staff regarding social skills procedures and intervention techniques</li>\n <li>Maintain accountability of staff, inmates and property; adhere to safety practices</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Education and Experience Requirements:</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or equivalent <strong>and</strong> two (2) years corrections or related experience required, one (1) year of which must be in an investigative or related capacity</li>\n <li>Valid driver's license in the state of Mississippi or Louisiana with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Post Hire Requirements:</u></strong></p>\n<p>Must successfully complete annual in-service training requirements.</p>\n<p>Management &amp; Training Corporation (MTC) is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
