Records, analyzes and reports test results. Writes testing plans and maintains test documentation in accordance with applicable regulations and requirements.\n<h2>Impact of the Role</h2>\n<h3>General Profile</h3>\n<ul>\n <li>Acquires basic skills to perform routine tasks</li>\n <li>Develops understanding in an analytical or scientific method or operational process</li>\n <li>Works with close supervision</li>\n <li>Performs manual tasks according to established procedures</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Essential Functions</h2>\n<ul>\n <li> Assists with setting up and standardizing equipment, processing parts, interpreting and evaluating for acceptance or rejection, and documenting results. </li>\n <li> Supports the development of specific calibrations and tests. </li>\n <li> Documents results in accordance with the specification.</li>\n <li> Identifies errors and defects in equipment. </li>\n <li> Use of ultrasound, radiography, or other techniques during the testing process.</li>\n <li> Assists with conducting system performance checks in accordance with the applicable process standard. </li>\n <li> Maintains procedures, policies, and techniques as necessary.</li>\n <li> Maintains documentation for training and experience hours.</li>\n <ul>\n  <h2>Additional Responsibilities</h2>\n  <p>NAS 410 Certification Level 2: State issued industrial radiographer certificate - Ability to achieve Level I or Level 2 certification in alignment with NAS 410 standards, through education, training, and testing, and perform the required Level 2 requirements</p>\n  <h2>Required Qualifications</h2>\n  <ul>\n   <li><strong>Required education and experience:</strong> Attending a Vocational / Technical School or internal training program OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education & Experience or Skillset; No prior experience needed</li>\n  </ul>\n  <h2>Preferred Qualifications</h2>\n  <ul>\n   <li><strong>Preferred education and experience:</strong> Vocational/Technical Training Degree</li>\n   <li><strong>Discipline/Major:</strong> Science Degree in NDT or equivalent training and experience</li>\n   <li><strong>Additional certifications:</strong> Working to achieve NDT Level 1 certification or higher. Working to achieve certification in alignment with NAS 410 standards, through education, training, and testing, and perform the required Level 1 requirements. Working to achieve ultrasonic, MPI and/or liquid penetrant certification.</li>\n   <li><strong>Knowledge, skills & abilities:</strong> Technical expertise. Problem-solving skills. Time management skills. Manual dexterity.</li>\n  </ul>\n  <h2>Physical Requirements</h2>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.</li>\n   <li>Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.</li>\n   <li>May need to stand for long periods of time.</li>\n   <li>Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.</li>\n   <li>Must be willing to work outside normal business hours as required.</li>\n   <li>This position is Safety-Sensitive.</li>\n  </ul>\n  <h2>Travel Requirements</h2>No or very little travel likely.\n  <h2>_____________________________</h2>The above statements describe the general nature and level of work only.
