Putting people first, being transparent and operating with clarity and honesty is the way we engage with our team, and clients,  and the way we do business. </span><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 16px\">It is our goal to help our clients provide excellent services to their customers.</span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 16px\">This is an exciting and unique opportunity for someone who is a civil engineering technologist and loves the hands on shooting grades and layout work on a construction site.  Our Grades and Layout Person is a specialist on our site and works with a Pipe Crew to ensure proper grading and layout.  This is an existing position that is being filled.</span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 16px\">Required Education, Knowledge and Skills:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Graduate of Civil Engineering Technologist program</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">2-5 years of applicable working experience as a grades/layout person</span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 16px\">Ability to operate a site level / rotating laser</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 16px\">Experience with Microsoft Office Products (Excel and Word at intermediate level)</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 16px\">Must have good communication skills</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 16px\">Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents such as Blueprints, OPS documents, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 16px\">Experience with AutoCAD and GIS software</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 16px\">Knowledge of proper construction staking methods</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 16px\">Excellent attention to detail</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 16px\">Experience with Trimble GPS/ Robotic Total Station </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 16px\"> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 16px\">Duties and Responsibilities:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 16px\">Verify graded surfaces using various survey equipment such as a site level, laser level, total stations</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 16px\">Perform as-builts of installed infrastructure, recording and maintaining project as-builts data</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 16px\">Preparing layout data</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 16px\">Performing quantity calculations and tracking of daily field quantities and survey records</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222; font-size: 16px\"> </span></p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: Lato, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">At Len Corcoran Excavating Ltd., we value diversity in the workplace because it allows us to better understand and meet the needs of our customers and the communities we serve.
