Additionally, you will help participate as the go to expert for site environmental protection, vendors oversite, and ensuring regulatory compliance in water permitting, spill prevention control and countermeasures, and air permitting.&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>The Impact You Will Have:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Drive Compliance:</strong>&nbsp;Lead periodic waste inspections and stormwater monitoring, turning audits into actionable improvements for site compliance and safety.</li>\n <li><strong>Waste Lifecycle Management:</strong>&nbsp;Track waste generation from start to finish, determining, classifying, and coordinating shipments to minimize our environmental footprint</li>\n <li><strong>Strategic Reporting &amp; Auditing:</strong>&nbsp;Own the preparation of annual environmental/waste reports and take the lead on auditing waste vendors to ensure high standards.</li>\n <li><strong>Regulatory &amp; Permitting Expert:</strong>&nbsp;Proactively assist with environmental permit applications, renewals, and modifications, ensuring all operations are permitted.</li>\n <li><strong>Continuous Improvement:</strong>&nbsp;Review procedures, engineering design packages, and maintenance work packages to integrate sustainability and safety into the company’s core operations.</li>\n <li><strong>Root Cause Analysis:</strong>&nbsp;Investigate non-compliance issues and implement corrective actions, turning challenges into learning opportunities.</li>\n <li><strong>Training &amp; Compliance Advocacy:</strong>&nbsp;Develop and update training documents, educating staff on best practices to build a strong culture of environmental responsibility.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>What We Are Looking For:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Education:</strong>&nbsp;Associate’s degree in environmental science, Waste Management, or a related field.</li>\n <li><strong>Experience:</strong>&nbsp;Proven experience (2+ years) in environmental compliance, waste management, or hazardous materials handling.</li>\n <li><strong>Technical Knowledge:</strong>&nbsp;Solid understanding of Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act, and state/local environmental regulations.</li>\n <li><strong>Skills:</strong>&nbsp;Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills, with a passion for problem-solving in the field.</li>\n</ul>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0.25in\"><span><i>In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be&nbsp;required&nbsp;to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.</i></span><span>&nbsp;</span></p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0.25in\"><span><i>This position will require a&nbsp;pre-employment background check and a pre-employment drug test.</i></span><span>&nbsp;</span></p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0.25in\"><span><i>Centrus Energy and all subsidiaries shall abide by the applicable legal requirements.
