Ensures all PET Techs are following as well.&nbsp;</p><p>Leads and gives direction to technologist and technologist aide staff.</p><p>Provides feedback for technologist career ladder/ performance evaluation.&nbsp;</p><p>Organize and assign work to maintain an efficient multi-task environment.&nbsp;</p><p>Assume responsibility for decisions made in all clinical operations and procedures in conjunction with management.</p><p>&nbsp;Maintain current technologists credentials and CEU records and work with credentialing department to keep up to &nbsp; date.&nbsp;</p><p>Assist Safety Officer with OSHA training, Blood Borne pathogens training, monthly job safety training, fire drills, and mock codes.&nbsp;</p><p>Periodically review injury reports for employees and patients and determines training and safety needs.&nbsp;</p><p>Periodically review Site Manuals for DPH readiness.</p><p>Ensure Quality Assurance is up-to-date with PACS systems, Patient Image Quality, Sectra.</p><p>Assist Chief Tech in ACR accreditation process.</p><p>Assist Chief Tech in research protocols Patient Care.&nbsp;</p><p>Assumes responsibility for delivering patient care by following all responsibilities outlined in PET Technologist Job Description.&nbsp;</p><p>Initiates, monitors and terminates procedures after consultation with Authorized User/Medical Director .</p><p>Assists Chief Tech with patient related complaints/issues Equipment.</p><p>Has a thorough working knowledge of equipment currently in use.</p><p>Assist Chief Tech in establishing a schedule of preventative maintenance and assures proper documentation of such In the event of improperly functioning equipment, notifies the proper parties to correct the situation and/or secure additional equipment for use.&nbsp;</p><p>Assures adequate supplies of medical and radiographic supplies.</p><p>Assist Chief in monitoring all daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually Quality Control on camera and ancillary equipment Evaluation of Equipment and Education.&nbsp;</p><p>Assumes responsibility for teaching and planning proper cleaning of equipment.&nbsp;</p><p>Assists in developing new procedural techniques and implementing such techniques or protocols as directed by the Medical Director.&nbsp;</p><p>Cooperates in the orientation and training of new protocols.&nbsp;</p><p>Participates in and attends staff meetings.</p><p>Works to promote a sense of worth in all personnel by recognition of their individual contributions to the center&#39;s team.&nbsp;</p><p>Continually strives to maintain and upgrade competence, education and skills. Utilizes professional resources as well as self-motivational techniques to do so.&nbsp;</p><p>EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:&nbsp;</p><p>Must posses an Associates of Applied Science Degree or higher degree from an approved collegiate or hospital based Radiologic Technology, Nuclear Medicine or Therapy Program.&nbsp;</p><p>Be CNMT or ARRT certified.</p><p>PET certification preferred and must be pursued when hired if not already obtained.&nbsp;</p><p>CPR Certification EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:&nbsp;</p><p>Must have at least 6 months of PET or PET/CT experience and have adequate on-the-job training on maintenance of equipment.&nbsp;</p><p>Able to identify or detect and correct any mechanical or electrical equipment malfunctions or, if unable to do so, able to contact proper resource for repair.&nbsp;</p><p>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:&nbsp;</p><p>Must be able to sit and utilize a computer for extended periods of time. Must be able to assist patients with mobility difficulties. Must be able to push, pull, and lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds.
