    "requisitionDescription": "<div><p>POSITION SUMMARY<br><br>DEFINITION<br><br>Under general direction, perform preventive and corrective electronic maintenance on a variety of complex, medical, dental, laboratory and other types of equipment such as motors, pumps, valves, television sets, recorders, cameras and video tape machines.<br><br><br>CLASS CHARACTERISTICS<br><br>This is a journey level class. The incumbent performs a full range of tasks and work under direction within a framework of established procedures. At this level, incumbent work with only occasional instruction or assistance. Work is normally reviewed only on completion and for overall results.<br><br><br>POSITION QUALIFICATIONS<br><br>Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way would be:<br><br>Education<br><br>Post high school vocation with specialized training. Completion of an accredited Bio-Medical Equipment Technician training program or similar electrical training required.<br><br><br>Experience<br><br>Minimum Two years of experience in the repair of major electronic equipment, powered infusion pumps and similar equipment.<br><br><br>Licensure/Certification<br><br>Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid California driver&rsquo;s license. Employees must maintain a driving record, which meets the insurability requirements of the PHH, Inc.<br><br><br><br><br><br><br>KNOWLEDGE &amp; ABILITIES<br><br>Knowledge of:<br><br>Electronic theory.<br><br>Biological, electrical and mechanical quantities including blood pressure, ECG, blood gas analyzers.<br><br><br><br>Ability to:<br><br>Test electronic equipment.<br><br>Understand, interpret, and apply rules, regulations, standards, and procedures.<br><br>Keep abreast of developments in the field of expertise<br><br>Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.<br><br>Repair necessary reports and records.</p></div>\n",
