    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<div>\n &nbsp;<span><b>YOUR IMPACT&nbsp;</b></span>\n</div>\n<p><span>The Vice President within the Alternative Investment Oversight (AIO) team is a senior operational role responsible for managing capital call processes across XIG strategies, leading the identification and resolution of complex operational risk events, and serving as the primary Operations liaison across Controllers, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Tax, Payments, and Investment teams. The individual oversees governance and regulatory readiness, supports operational execution for new fund launches and full product lifecycle management, and sets execution standards for documentation quality, incident handling, and stakeholder communication across the broader team. The XIG manages globally diversified programs, targeted sector-specific strategies, customized portfolios, and a range of advisory services. Our investors access opportunities through new fund commitments, fund-of-fund investments, strategic partnerships, secondary-market investments, co-investments, and seed-capital investments. With over 300 professionals across eight offices around the world, the XIG provides manager diligence, portfolio construction, risk management, and liquidity solutions to investors, drawing on Goldman Sachs’ market insights and risk management expertise. We extend these capabilities to the world's leading sovereign wealth funds, pension plans, governments, financial institutions, endowments, foundations and others.</span></p>\n<p><span>The Alternative Investment Oversight (AIO) team supports the XIG desk and has responsibility for various aspects of portfolio accounting, liquidity, credit facility management, foreign currency transactions, payments, and serves as the single point of contact for all business related inquiries. These functions cover a wide range of clients and a complex product range, which include equities, money markets, currency, leveraged financing, asset backed loans, and derivatives. The AIO team supports portfolio managers, risk managers, sales, and client relationship professionals by providing accurate and timely client account information and overseeing all aspects of operational risk across portfolios and strategies. This involves extensive interaction with internal and external parties to ensure effective oversight for existing business and also to shape and implement solutions for new clients, products, strategies, and system architecture. The group continues to focus on best in-class client experience and working closely with the business to maintain and enhance client relationships.&nbsp;</span></p>\n<p><span><b>JOB SUMMARY AND RESPONSBILITIES</b></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Oversee team responsible for alternative investment transaction booking and payment approvals.</span></li>\n <li><span>Serve as an escalation contact to provide guidance for issue resolution</span></li>\n <li><span>Coach and mentor junior employees to realize their full potential</span></li>\n <li><span>Approve investment bookings for private equity funds and performing review functionalities</span></li>\n <li><span>Approve expense payments across multiple alternative investment asset classes including private equity and direct hedge funds</span></li>\n <li><span>Oversight of reporting requirements to Senior Management and to AIMS Business</span></li>\n <li><span>Work closely with other teams, including: Valuation Oversight Team, Product Services, Operations, Engineering and Trading oversight&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>Work closely with fund administrators and auditors</span></li>\n <li><span>Own execution of capital calls across XIG strategies, including issuance, historical true-ups, reallocations, and program wind-downs</span></li>\n <li><span>Act as the senior escalation point for cash breaks, and corrections</span></li>\n <li><span>Coordinate with Controllers, Payments, custodians, and agents to ensure accurate cash movement and resolution</span></li>\n <li><span>Identification, escalation, and resolution of complex operational risk events across the AIO function&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>Prepare senior-level incident documentation, impact assessments, and remediation narratives to an audit-ready standard</span></li>\n <li><span>Drive root-cause analysis and corrective action planning in partnership with Risk, Compliance, and Operations leadership</span></li>\n <li><span>Serve as the primary XIG Operations liaison across Controllers, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Tax, Payments, and Investment teams</span></li>\n <li><span>Represent Operations in senior leadership forums, working groups, and executive discussions</span></li>\n <li><span>Translate complex operational issues into clear, decision-ready summaries for senior stakeholders</span></li>\n <li><span>Oversee operational governance obligations including controls assessments, certifications, and regulatory deliverables</span></li>\n <li><span>Support operational readiness for new fund launches, restructurings, and complex transactions across the full product lifecycle</span></li>\n <li><span>Set execution standards for documentation quality, incident handling, and stakeholder communication across the team</span></li>\n <li><span>Provide review, guidance, and judgment on complex outputs produced by junior team members and drive operational efficiency and scalability</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><b>BASIC QUALIFICATIONS</b></span></p>\n<ul>\n <li><span>Demonstrated experience across alternative investment products, private fund structures, and end-to-end process management&nbsp;</span></li>\n <li><span>Minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience in financial services or asset management operations</span></li>\n <li><span>Strong industry knowledge with a solid foundation in accounting principles and proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Word and Excel</span></li>\n <li><span>Experience with financial statement
