We offer a competitive compensation package and a comprehensive benefits program to attract and retain the best professionals in the field.</p>\n<h2></h2>\n<p><strong>EDUCATION</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Normally requires a high school graduate with vo-tech training in basic drafting technology and typically three (3) years related experience (or equivalent working knowledge/experience), or a two-year degree in drafting/design technology and two (2) years related experience.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This is the most senior-level drafting position where the incumbent is primarily performing complex manual drafting assignments but has not made the transition to Designer status. Incumbent must demonstrate proficiency in utilizing manual drafting techniques for a variety of non-routine assignments and a working knowledge of CADD for various standard applications.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Prepares complete sets of drawings, which involve multiple views, detail drawings, and assembly drawings of equipment, facilities, or systems where minimal information is provided by rough sketches and/or verbal outlines of requirements.  Incumbent utilizes either manual or computer-assisted drafting/design techniques. </li>\n <li>Reviews manufacturers' or fabricators' prints for conformance with contract specifications.</li>\n <li>Determines material needs and makes necessary calculations using accepted formulas and references. </li>\n <li>Supports field assignments as required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>LANGUAGE SKILLS</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before clients or employees of the organization</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>MATHEMATICAL SKILLS</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts such of basic algebra and geometry.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>PHYSICAL DEMANDS</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Occasionally may conduct or participate in a field trip to an operating plant or construction site. This requires normal hearing, the ability to stand, walk, reach, climb and balance, clear close and distance vision, depth perception and the ability to focus. Lifting up to 25 pounds may be required.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>WORK ENVIRONMENT</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Normal work environment will be a business office with moderate noise. Occasionally may visit or be temporarily assigned to work in an operating plant or at a construction site.
