    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Summary</span></span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">: The Health Educator will develop and implement education services and programs for patients and groups referred by providers. </span></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Essential Duties/Responsibilities</span></span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">: </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Develops, implements, quality assurance measures and ensure appropriate follow up</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Research, evaluates, and designs nutritional education services and programs for patients</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Develops/updates policies and procedures for all nutrition education services/programs</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Complies and updates nutrition education materials in coordination with clinical staff</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Coach and provide individual patients with dietary assessments, and nutrition counseling for complex nutritional needs</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Arrange for screening, assessments, and counseling for prenatal, pediatric, and adult patients</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Document all nutritional counseling in EHR</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Facilitate group presentations with workshops to provide consistent continuing education and tracking attendance </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Nutritional meal planning and coaching classes </span><br></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Adheres to professional standards, clinic policies/procedures, federal, state, and local requirements</span><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Qualification Requirements</span></span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Education/and or Experience: </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Certified health educator/nutritionist </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">4 year college degree </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Language Skill: </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Presentation, writing, and verbal skills</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">English proficiency required</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Spanish preferred</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Equipment/Machinery: Fax machine, copier, personal computer, telephone, calculator, Microsoft Word/Excel, EHR system, and other software as required.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Physical Demands:  The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\"> </span></p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"color: #222222; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 15px\">Stand and walk or sit alternatively depending on specific needs of day.
