    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>Position Summary:</strong></p><p>The Department of Life Sciences at the Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences is seeking applications for part-time instructors to teach the following courses during the Fall 2026 semester:&nbsp;</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>undergraduate General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, General Biology, Microbiology, and Anatomy &amp; Physiology lab courses,</li><li>undergraduate Biochemistry lecture course, and</li><li><span data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\" style=\"margin-left: 0in;\" data-pasted=\"true\">online graduate immunology lecture course</span></li></ul><p>The above courses, except for the online graduate recitation course, will be offered in-person and on-campus. Positions will run from August 1, 2026 to December 31, 2026. <em>Note: All remote work must be done in a state in which the College is registered to do business in (New York, California, Idaho, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Texas, Wisconsin, Vermont).&nbsp;</em></p><p>Compensation is $4600/lecture course and $3900/lab course.&nbsp;</p><p>Applicants should submit a CV and a cover letter outlining the courses they are interested in teaching.</p><p><strong>Major Duties &amp; Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Instruction, course preparation, developing instructional materials, and grading</li><li>Providing weekly office hours to support students</li></ul><p><strong>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Commitment to excellence in teaching and student development</li><li>Excellent communication (verbal/written), interpersonal skills, and organizational skills</li><li>Positive attitude and strong work ethic</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), Adobe, Office 365, OneDrive, and Zoom</li></ul><p><strong>Education and Experience:&nbsp;</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Possess an advanced degree or relevant experience in the field of instruction.</li></ul><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Ideal candidates will have excellent subject knowledge, teaching skill, and prior experience working with students bound for graduate or professional schools.</li></ul><p><strong>Physical Demands:</strong></p><p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear.
