Description

Jacksonville Orthopaedic Institute is looking to hire a Workers Compensation Scheduler to join our team at the San Marco office. The position is full-time with benefits including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, and 401K retirement plan. Location: 1325 San Marco Blvd. Jacksonville, FL 32207 - On site position Schedule: Monday- Friday The Practice Manager is The Workers Compensation Scheduler is responsible for coordinating and scheduling of San Marco Division work comp appointment and attorney IME’s in an efficient and timely manner. responsible for the administrative and daily operations of the clinic. Essential Functions Schedule appointments using GE Centricity and follow proper physician protocols to determine whom to schedule with. Will collect all information from the adjuster/case manager by completing an intake form Check voicemail and email daily and respond to all message within 24 hours Responsible for scanning required forms daily. Responsible for clarification of all prepayments, records and signed agreements are received at least 72 hours prior to appointments. Answer calls promptly, in a polite and professional manner. Obtain and enter accurate patient demographic information and insurance information. Make calls to reschedule appointments when necessary. Communicate necessary messages to staff. Maintain the strictest patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines. Adhere to Company policies, procedures and processes. Perform related work as required. Perform other duties as assigned. Position Requirements Workers Compensation knowledge preferred. Prior scheduling experience. Prior customer service experience in a healthcare setting. Ability to consistently deliver excellent customer service with a patient-care focus. Excellent communications skills, both verbally and in writing. Ability to communicate effectively over the phone. Ability to work efficiently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information. High school diploma or equivalent. Physical Demands Requires sitting for long periods of time. Sitting 90%, Standing 5%, Walking 5%. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, mouse and multiple telephone lines. It is necessary to view computer screen for long periods of time.
