The Mobile Crisis Responder will be part of a mobile crisis team providing crisis assessment and evaluation in the community. This role may include co-responding with law enforcement and participating in a 24/7 on-call rotation, including days, nights, and weekends.</p>\n<p>Responsibilities include assessing risk, including suicidal ideation and lethality, and determining appropriate level of care. We even offer pet insurance for your four-legged family members.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Early access to earned wages with Daily Pay, tuition reimbursement to help further your career and adoption assistance to help you grow your family.   </li>\n</ul>\n<p>With a collective goal to champion a culture of belonging where everyone feels valued and respected, we honor the ways people are unique and embrace what brings us together.   </p>\n<p>And, we believe equipping you with support and development opportunities is a vital part of delivering an exceptional employment experience. </p>\n<p>Find a fulfilling career and make a difference with UnityPoint Health.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Implements Trauma Informed Care (TIC) while completing in-depth mental health and substance use assessments and formulating diagnoses for individuals in crisis.</li>\n <li>Conducts comprehensive mental health and substance use evaluations for clients presenting in crisis situations.</li>\n <li>Contacts physicians, providers, and emergency departments to support disposition recommendations and ensures accurate documentation in the medical record.</li>\n <li>Provides direct clinical services including evaluation, counseling, education, and development of treatment plans for individuals, families, and support systems.</li>\n <li>Delivers substance use assessment, intervention, individual and group counseling, and recovery-focused education and consultation services.</li>\n <li>Provides case management and care coordination, including referrals, locating treatment facilities, insurance authorization support, and collaboration with internal and external providers.</li>\n <li>Participates in on-call rotation for nights and weekends to ensure 24/7 coverage and maintains compliance with all regulatory and agency standards while ensuring accurate documentation and reporting.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or related human services field required</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Experience:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>2 years preferred in mental health or substance use services, or equivalent experience</li>\n <li>Knowledge of assessments, crisis intervention, and suicide risk/lethality evaluation</li>\n <li>Ability to work with diverse populations in fast-paced, high-stress settings</li>\n <li>Specialized mental health or psychiatric training preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>License(s)/Certification(s):</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Valid driver’s license required</li>\n <li>Knowledge of HIPAA, 42 C.F.R. Part 2, ASAM, DSM, and Trauma Informed Care required or ability to obtain</li>\n</ul>\n<p>*Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, skills, internal equity, and other business needs.
