Overview Shift: Full Time, 5:30 PM - 2:00 AM Join our team at the Robert Young Center as a Mobile Crisis Clinician. The Mobile Crisis Responder will be part of a mobile crisis team providing crisis assessment and evaluation in the community. This role may include co-responding with law enforcement and participating in a 24/7 on-call rotation, including days, nights, and weekends. Responsibilities include assessing risk, including suicidal ideation and lethality, and determining appropriate level of care. Responsibilities Implements Trauma Informed Care (TIC) while completing in-depth mental health and substance use assessments and formulating diagnoses for individuals in crisis. Conducts comprehensive mental health and substance use evaluations for clients presenting in crisis situations. Contacts physicians, providers, and emergency departments to support disposition recommendations and ensures accurate documentation in the medical record. Provides direct clinical services including evaluation, counseling, education, and development of treatment plans for individuals, families, and support systems. Delivers substance use assessment, intervention, individual and group counseling, and recovery-focused education and consultation services. Provides case management and care coordination, including referrals, locating treatment facilities, insurance authorization support, and collaboration with internal and external providers. Participates in on-call rotation for nights and weekends to ensure 24/7 coverage and maintains compliance with all regulatory and agency standards while ensuring accurate documentation and reporting. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or related human services field required Experience: 2 years preferred in mental health or substance use services, or equivalent experience Knowledge of assessments, crisis intervention, and suicide risk/lethality evaluation Ability to work with diverse populations in fast-paced, high-stress settings Specialized mental health or psychiatric training preferred License(s)/Certification(s): Valid driver’s license required Knowledge of HIPAA, 42 C.F.R. Part 2, ASAM, DSM, and Trauma Informed Care required or ability to obtain *Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, skills, internal equity, and other business needs. The salary range listed does not include other forms of compensation which may include bonuses/incentive, differential pay, or other forms of compensation or benefits that may be applicable to this role.
