Description

Therapist - LCSW preferred $2,000 Sign-On Bonus  - paid in four quarterly installments Position Overview: The Therapist carries a caseload and provides comprehensive treatment services to children, adolescents, and families in accordance with agency standards and contractual requirements. Qualifications: Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or a related field Active Illinois licensure as an LCPC or LCSW (or ability to obtain and maintain) Experience working with children, adolescents, and families Experience providing individual, family, and group therapy Strong organizational, time management, and documentation skills Ability to maintain accurate and timely case records in compliance with agency requirements Experience or interest in working with victims and perpetrators of sexual and physical abuse Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate across agencies Cultural sensitivity and responsiveness to diverse populations Key Responsibilities:  I .  Case Management & Direct Services Complete all required documentation, including mental health assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries Schedule and facilitate client staffing meetings (e.g., intakes, pre-court, monthly reviews, emergency meetings, interagency coordination, and terminations) Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant case records and reports Ensure client confidentiality in accordance with Illinois law and agency policies Collaborate with the Treatment Coordinator to develop and implement therapeutic strategies Provide individual, group, and family therapy as outlined in treatment plans Deliver in-home support services to families as needed Connect clients and families to appropriate community resources Advocate for clients and families to ensure access to appropriate, respectful, and effective treatment II.  Program Development & Support Collaborate with leadership on program development, public relations, and community engagement Participate in professional presentations, trainings, and interagency collaborations Stay current on industry trends and contribute to the field through research, writing, and training opportunities Complete program-related reports and maintain statistical data as required Perform additional duties as assigned based on program or contract needs Core Competencies: Trauma-Informed Care Apply trauma-informed principles in all services, recognizing the impact of trauma and supporting clients and families in building trauma-informed environments Person-Centered Approach Empower clients by promoting self-advocacy, resilience, and individualized recovery goals Strengths-Based Practice Support clients in identifying and building upon their strengths to meet their needs Safe & Supportive Environment Provide services that promote physical and emotional safety, with a strong commitment to protecting children and reporting any suspected abuse or neglect Collaboration Work with clients to build and strengthen support networks, including family, peers, and community resources Cultural Responsiveness & Inclusion Deliver services that respect and support individuals of all backgrounds, identities, and abilities Program Support & Continuous Improvement Actively participate in the agency’s Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives Youth Service Bureau of Illinois Valley believes that all people deserve inclusivity, fairness, and justice.
