This role combines front desk responsibilities with basic financial auditing, ensuring a smooth transition between business days and maintaining Hotel Californian's high service standards.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Greet, assist, and check in/check out guests in a professional and welcoming manner</li><li>Handle guest inquiries, requests, and concerns promptly and courteously</li><li>Perform nightly audit procedures, including reconciling daily transactions and balancing accounts</li><li>Prepare and distribute daily financial and operational reports</li><li>Process payments, post charges, and ensure accuracy of guest folios</li><li>Monitor hotel security and ensure guest safety during overnight hours</li><li>Answer phone calls, route messages, and respond to emergencies as needed</li><li>Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front desk area</li><li>Communicate effectively with morning staff to ensure a seamless shift transition</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Previous hotel front desk or night audit experience preferred</li><li>Strong attention to detail and basic accounting or cash-handling skills</li><li>Excellent customer service and communication abilities</li><li>Ability to work independently and remain alert during overnight shifts</li><li>Proficiency with hotel PMS systems</li><li>Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor</li></ul><p><strong>Physical &amp; Schedule Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Ability to stand for extended periods</li><li>Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally</li></ul><p>Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed&nbsp;</p>",
