Together, our interrelated programs provide a whole-person, whole-family, and whole-life approach that unlocks solutions for a lifetime.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>The Fair Futures Coach</strong> is a full-time position that provides support and resources to help youth who have had experiences with the justice system, make progress towards their academic, career development, independent living, and other life goals. The Fair Futures Coach will report directly to Fair Futures Coach Supervisor. The Fair Futures Coach will be responsible for:</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Coach Responsibilities: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide home-based or community case management services to families to a caseload of up to 15 families, visiting families at a minimum twice a month to address family needs, decrease risk and safety factors, and strengthen families overall health and wellness</li>\n <li>Engage primary caregivers and other key participants throughout treatment to engage in sessions and conferences, and overcome barriers to engagement when they arise, to ensure successful goal attainment</li>\n <li>Complete timely and accurate documentation of session progress and collateral notes in the Care4 database systems</li>\n <li>Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with colleagues, community providers, and model/external stakeholders to connect families to resources and support ongoing communication and collaboration for effective goal setting. Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with colleagues & stakeholders in the community to connect youth to resources</li>\n <li>Responsible for engaging youth in goal setting as it relates to academic & career planning</li>\n <li>Participate in group, individual coaching, trainings, and all staff meetings to strengthen professional development, skill growth, & group cohesion</li>\n <li>Provides one-on-one and group facilitation to develop life skills training, college preparation, & leadership training to youth</li>\n <li>Conduct intake through the completion of initial assessments and gather essential consent forms for new cases, ensuring completeness of information and family understanding of services</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>The New York Foundling is committed to attracting and retaining a diverse employee population, the Foundling will honor your experiences, perspectives and unique identity. Together, our community strives to create and maintain working and learning environments that are inclusive, equitable and welcoming.</strong></p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<li>Bachelor's degree in Human/Social Service-related field (including Education, Psychology, Social Work, or a related subject area)</li>\n<li>Must have 2 years of relevant experience in child welfare, social services, or a related field and a desire to work with children and families</li>\n<li>Excellent writing, communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, time management and organizational skills</li>\n<li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proven self-management abilities including meeting deadlines, prioritizing multiple tasks efficiently, timely completion of documentation and maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records</li>\n<li>Ability to work effectively with a diverse, multidisciplinary team and connect with a diverse client population to engage them in services throughout treatment</li>\n<li>Ability to receive and execute feedback to professionally grow and/or improve and be flexible with programmatic needs and changes. Ability to manage stress, self-care and maintain a high level of self-awareness</li>\n<li>An understanding and commitment to complying with the New York State Central Register of Abuse and Neglect protocol (requirement to report any suspected abuse, maltreatment or neglect of any child)</li>\n<li>Must be comfortable and able to travel and visit families in their homes and perform safety assessments</li>\n<li>Demonstrated strong commitment to safety.</li>\n<h2>Education Required</h2>Bachelor’s Degree from a U.S. accredited educational institution or Credential Evaluation for a non-U.S. educational institution\n<h2>Recruitment Tagline</h2>Hiring Impact, Changing Lives Together\n<h2>Salary Range:</h2>$53,920.50 + ($3,800 Education Additive + 3,500 Bilingual Additive)",
