We promote from within, provide great benefits, and treat our employees like family. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>This position requires heavy physical duties on a variety of tasks which are generally either unskilled or semi-skilled in nature. Duties will vary depending on the type of work assigned to crew.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Responsible for laying pipe for sanitary storm sewers and water mains.</li>\n <li>Assist in excavation, trenching, and backfilling activities in accordance with safety procedures. </li>\n <li>Install piping - flanged ductile iron and stainless steel press-fit.</li>\n <li>Set up and use of pipe lasers, knowledge of RCP & ADS storm pipe, sanitary pipe and water pipe installation.</li>\n <li>Follow all site-specific and general safety protocols. Understanding of working with trench boxes. </li>\n <li>Complete installations using layout and instructions provided by Field Manager.</li>\n <li>Be comfortable working at heights and within fall protection.</li>\n <li>pipe cutting using abrasive blades on grinders and other pipe cutting tools, etc.</li>\n <li>Communicate clearly with the operator for alignment of the pipe while using hand signals to endure the proper depth.</li>\n <li>Guide laborers on crew by showing proper tools to use, length of pipe and how to properly cut pipe.</li>\n <li>Lifts, carries, and holds building materials, tools, and supplies. </li>\n <li>Cleans tools, materials, and work areas. </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</em></p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>Our Company Does Work That Matters</strong></p>\n<p>Allan Myers is the largest heavy civil construction and materials production contractor in the mid-Atlantic.
