    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>We are designing the grid of the future!  </strong></p>\n<p>EPE is in search of a Principal Engineer or Engineering Manager with a background in EMT modelling and power system studies to join our growing Energy Resources team. In this role you will work closely with senior leadership to support our growth strategy and provide subject matter expertise both internally through coaching and developing staff as well as externally to our clients.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>How you can make an impact:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>EMT Studies: </strong>Perform power system studies such as temporary overvoltage, switching overvoltage, insulation coordination, harmonic, flicker, transient recovery volage, energization, lightning overvoltage etc.  </li>\n <li><strong>Model Development:</strong> Develop dynamic generator/load models, perform disturbance ride through model tuning and perform PSCAD/PSSE model benchmarking.  </li>\n <li><strong>Steady State Studies</strong>: Perform steady state studies such as load flow, short circuit and power quality.</li>\n <li><strong>Specialization</strong>: knowledge of datacenter equipment dynamic and conventional generation equipment dynamic is an asset. </li>\n <li><strong>Technology: </strong>Proficiency in power system modelling software such as PSCAD, PSSE, ETAP or equivalents. Familiarity with other specialized software such CDEGS, COMSOL, CYMCAP, EMTP, PowerFactory WinIGS etc is an asset  </li>\n <li><strong>Compliance:</strong> Strong understanding of relevant industry standards such as IEEE/IEC/CIGRE.</li>\n <li><strong>Client Management</strong>: Provide advisory support to generation, large load and merchant transmission developers. Take responsibility for the timely completion of projects assigned while meeting all project quality and budget objectives.</li>\n <li><strong>Technical Leadership:</strong> Lead, teach and mentor junior level Power Systems Engineers.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Bring your passion, here's what’s needed:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>8+ years of experience in power system modelling and power system studies</li>\n <li>Bachelor’s or higher degree in Electrical Engineering with power system emphasis.  </li>\n <li>Experience with Data Center equipment dynamics is an asset</li>\n <li>Experience with conventional generation machine dynamics is an asset</li>\n <li>Experience with control system tuning is an asset</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Lead the change!</strong></p>\n<p>Be a part of an innovative team shaping the grid of the future through advanced energy intelligence.
