    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Assumes responsibility for the routine maintenance of the Pharmaceutical Waste Collection Program and provides support for additional hazardous waste collection activities.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<li>Provides daily support for the Hazardous Waste Collection and Control Program with special emphasis on the Pharmaceutical Waste Collection Program, which includes; inspection, collection, and replacement of waste pharmaceutical collection containers.</li>\n<li>Supports Hazardous Waste collection activities at offsite locations.</li>\n<li>Communicates inspection deficiencies and programmatic issues related to hazardous and pharmaceutical waste for corrective action.</li>\n<li>Assists in staff education regarding proper characterization, segregation, and disposal of hazardous and pharmaceutical waste.</li>\n<li>Assists with The Joint Commission Environment of Care, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) applicable regulations, standards and policies.</li>\n<li>Perform other duties as required or assigned.</li>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Associates degree in Environmental Health, Chemistry, Toxicology, Biology, or related field required or equivalent work experience.</li>\n <li>Background in health care and knowledge of hazardous substance evaluation and control and hazardous waste management is highly desirable.</li>\n <li>Demonstrates knowledge of computer software applications including spreadsheets.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration, Environmental Protection Agency and Department of Transportation regulations is desirable.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Required Licensure/Certifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>None</li>\n</ul>",
