This role is essential in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance, optimising cost management, and supporting business strategy through insightful financial analysis.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities:</span><br></p>\n<p><br><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Financial Operations &amp; Bookkeeping</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Manage the full bookkeeping function, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded.</li>\n<li>Prepare and post month-end journals and maintain general ledger integrity.</li>\n<li>Process and oversee all customer invoicing, credit control, and supplier payments.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Financial Reporting &amp; Analysis</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Compile and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for internal stakeholders and shareholders.</li>\n<li>Prepare comprehensive board packs, incorporating financial results, variance analysis, forecasts, and commentary.</li>\n<li>Develop and manage financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.</li>\n<li>Analyse the financial impact of business decisions and assess their effect on Profit After Tax (PAT).</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Budgeting, Costing &amp; Forecasting</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead the annual budgeting process and monitor ongoing budget performance.</li>\n<li>Establish and update costing models to track and improve project and departmental profitability.</li>\n<li>Forecast future business performance, cash requirements, and revenue targets based on market and internal trends.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Governance, Compliance &amp; Risk</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure compliance with SARS regulations and relevant financial legislation, including VAT, income tax, and payroll tax.</li>\n<li>Maintain internal controls and monitor adherence to policies and procedures.</li>\n<li>Manage B-BBEE-related financial submissions and activities.</li>\n<li>Oversee risk identification and implement mitigation strategies across financial operations.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Cash Flow &amp; Working Capital Management</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Monitor daily cash balances, ensuring optimal cash flow and working capital levels.</li>\n<li>Prepare rolling cash flow forecasts and scenario planning to support business decision-making.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Payroll &amp; Audit</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Oversee payroll processes and ensure alignment with financial records and compliance standards.</li>\n<li>Lead the preparation for and management of external audits, ensuring timely submission and a clean audit opinion</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Systems &amp; Tools</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Leverage financial systems such as Sage or Xero for accurate reporting and transaction management.</li>\n<li>Continuously improve finance processes through system optimisation and automation</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Skills and Competencies:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Essential:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Excellent accounting knowledge with strong attention to detail.</li>\n<li>Effective financial planning and analysis skills.</li>\n<li>Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.</li>\n<li>Experience in managing internal controls and compliance.</li>\n<li>Ability to communicate financial insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Beneficial:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience in the IT/software or consulting sectors.</li>\n<li>Familiarity with multi-currency or multi-national financial environments.</li>\n<li>Sage, Xero, or Payspace software experience.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications &amp; Experience:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>BCom Accounting or equivalent degree (completed articles advantageous).</li>\n<li>Minimum 5+ years in a similar financial management or accountant role.</li>\n<li>Experience managing audits, financial reporting cycles, and compliance processes</li>\n</ul>\n<ol></ol>",
