Description

Generator Technician II Location: San Clemente Island, CA Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Formal classroom education equivalent to Navy “C” School or vocational school, with formal training in Primary and Secondary Power Production generation, storage, and distribution equipment maintenance or 5 years documented experience. Ability to speak, read, and write English. Valid Local Driver License Current DoD SECRET security clearance 3 years’ demonstrated experience or skills in at least 3 all of the following areas: Primary Power equipment; Secondary Power equipment; Diesel engine maintenance and repair: Digital/analog control systems; Industrial electricity safety equipment and procedures; Inverter equipment; Lightning surge suppression equipment; Solor Power generation equipment; Power storage equiment (battery); General Duties and Duties Specific to Specialization Required for Position. Perform the following, under supervision/direction if required: Applies comprehensive technical knowledge to solve complex problems by interpreting manufacturers’ manuals, wiring diagrams or similar documents. Applies technical knowledge in troubleshooting, isolating malfunctions, repairing to the component level, and incorporating engineering changes. Repairs power generation/distribution equipment. Perform corrosion control as necessary in accordance with established procedures Performs other duties as assigned by competent authority to support mission success Documents maintenance actions in IEMS.
