Sedgman est présentement à la recherche d'un ingénieur électricien principal pour joindre notre équipe à Montréal. Le candidat idéal jouera le rôle d’un mentor et entraîneur pour une équipe jeune et enthousiaste. Il sera responsable de la gestion de l’équipe de la conception du génie électrique, au bureau de Montréal. Sedgman est bien placé pour la croissance avec plein d’opportunité.

En quoi consiste ce rôle?
Responsabilités Principales :
Diriger l'équipe dans l'exécution de l'ingénierie électrique et de la conception pour les projets de traitement des minéraux et des infrastructures connexes.
(Peut inclure : le traitement industriel, les usines de métaux précieux et/ou de minerai de fer, ainsi que les services connexes).
Élaborer des propositions et des conceptions conceptuelles pour des projets d'ingénierie de préfaisabilité, de faisabilité et de détail.
Fournir un leadership technique et des conseils aux équipes au sein du projet.
Travailler sur une succession continue de petits et grands projets (nationaux et internationaux) à mesure qu'ils progressent dans le cycle de vie du projet - de l'élaboration initiale du concept aux études de faisabilité, à la conception détaillée, à la construction, à la mise en service jusqu'à l'exploitation.
Assurer la liaison avec les clients internes et externes, les autres professionnels de la discipline et les parties prenantes de l'industrie pour assurer la livraison rapide, précise et rentable des projets.
Démontrer des normes élevées de sécurité personnelle et dans les pratiques de conception.
Que recherchons-nous?
Qualifications requises :
Diplôme en génie électrique.
Connaissance approfondie de l'industrie minière, ainsi que des codes et normes réglementaires canadiens.
Membre de l'ordre des ingénieurs du Québec l'Ordre (Ingénieur au Québec).
Minimum de 15+ ans d'expérience pertinente en tant qu'ingénieur électricien, avec des systèmes de transmission et de distribution d'énergie HV, MT, et BT.
Vaste expérience en ingénierie dans un environnement de conception, de consultation et d'exploitation; une expérience antérieure dans un environnement de transformation industrielle et/ou d'exploitation minière et de métaux est considérée comme un atout.
Compétences en communication et en négociation bien développées
Maîtrise de l'instrumentation et des systèmes de contrôle dans les applications industrielles.
Capacité d'autogérer le temps, les priorités et les activités de manière sécuritaire et efficace.
Excellentes compétences en communication et en relations interpersonnelles; capable de travailler avec les clients, les parties prenantes clés, les entrepreneurs, les collègues (personnel technique et non technique)
Solides compétences organisationnelles, compétences techniques et souci du détail
Doit être admissible à travailler au Canada sans parrainage
Excellente maîtrise du français parlé et écrit. Une bonne maîtrise de l'anglais parlé est requise en raison des contacts quotidiens avec des clients, fournisseurs, partenaires et collègues basés hors du Québec.
Sedgman is currently looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team in Montreal. The ideal incumbent will be a mentor and coach to a young and enthusiastic team. He/she will be responsible for the electrical engineering design development of projects in the mineral processing industry.

What does this role involve? Key responsibilities:
Lead the electrical team in the execution of electrical engineering and design for mineral processing projects and associated infrastructure. (may include: industrial processing, precious metals and/or iron ore plants, as well as associated services ).
Develop proposals, conceptual designs for Pre-feasability, Feasability and Detail engineering projects.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to the project teams.
Work across a continuous succession of small and large, domestic and international projects as they progress through the project lifecycle - from early concept development, feasibility studies, detailed design, construction, commissioning to operations
Liaise with internal and external clients, other discipline professionals, and stakeholders within the industry to ensure the timely, accurate and cost effective delivery of projects.
Demonstrate high standard of personal safety and safety in design practices.
What are we looking for?
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering
Deep knowledge of industry, as well as Canadian regulatory codes and standards
Will be registered with OIQ (P. Engineer in Quebec); an asset if a registered engineer from other parts of Canada or the United States.
Must have 15 years relevant experience as an electrical engineer, with HV, MV and LV power transmission and distribution systems
Extensive engineering experience in a design/consultancy/operational environment; previous experience in an industrial processing and/or mining and metals environment is considered an asset
Well-developed communication and negotiation skills
Proficiency with instrumentation and control systems in industrial applications.
Ability to safely and effectively self-manage time, priorities and activities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to work with clients, key stakeholders, contractors, co-workers (technical & non-technical staff)
Strong organizational skills, technical competence and attention to detail
Must be eligible to work in Canada without sponsorship
Language requirements: excellent spoken and written French. Strong spoken English skills are required due to daily contact with clients, suppliers, partners, and colleagues based outside Quebec.
