If you are over 50 miles from one of our offices, the role can be **Remote** for the right qualified candidate. </strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Key functions include but are not limited to the following:</p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Working with strong technical expertise and limited supervision, the Senior Claim Specialist-Litigation effectively manages a caseload of Major Case General Liability, Commercial Auto, EPL and other Complex Claims through coverage analysis, investigation, damage evaluation, litigation management, reserving, and resolution.</li>\n <li>Develop positive business relationships with defense counsel and work with them closely to develop cost-effective litigation strategies and develop action plans to manage cases to an early conclusion. Ability to direct defense counsel to execute developed litigation strategies.</li>\n <li>Prepare and present large loss reports.</li>\n <li>Completion of decision trees to assist with detailed reserving analysis.</li>\n <li>Establish timely and accurate claim and expense reserves.</li>\n <li>Negotiate and convey claim settlements within authority limits.</li>\n <li>Attend mediations, settlement conferences and trials.</li>\n <li>Draft timely Reservation of Rights, Coverage Disclaimer, Claim Tenders, along with other complex correspondence.</li>\n <li>Understand how to interpret sub-contract agreements.</li>\n <li>Maintain an effective diary system and document claim file activities in accordance with established procedures.</li>\n <li>Manage file inventory to ensure timely resolution of cases.</li>\n <li>Handle files in compliance with state regulations.</li>\n <li>Provide excellent customer service to meet the needs of the insured, agent and all other internal and external customers.</li>\n <li>Perform administrative functions such as document preparation, expense accounts, time off reporting, etc. as required.</li>\n <li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelors' college degree or equivalent work experience.</li>\n <li>5+ years  prior experience handling large Commercial Auto, General Liability and EPL claims of more than <strong><em>$500,000.00 in aggregate exposure.</em></strong></li>\n <li>     Proven ability to identify and address coverage issues, complex investigations, timely/effective reserve management and ability to develop detailed action plans. </li>\n <li>     Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills. </li>\n <li>     Excellent negotiation, time management, and organizational skills.</li>\n <li>     Strong knowledge of tort and contract law in our operating states.</li>\n <li>    Effective presentation skills.</li>\n <li>     Working knowledge of legal billing software, claim systems, spreadsheet and word processing software applications.</li>\n <li>     Self-directed with the ability to work independently.</li>\n <li>     Adjuster licenses in the states of NC, SC, and GA</li>\n</ul>\n<p>The Company is an equal employment opportunity employer.  </p>\n<h2>Additional Company Details</h2>We do not accept any unsolicited resumes from external recruiting agencies or firms.
