Together, we are EXP.</div><div><br><strong>Are you ready to design your future?</strong></div><div><br>Be our next <strong>Intermediate Roadway Designer!</strong></div><div><br><strong>Your work environment at EXP</strong></div><div><br>In this role, you will be a part of the&nbsp;Transportation&nbsp;team, based in&nbsp;Ontario&nbsp;and have the opportunity to work on various roadway/highway projects.</div><div><br><strong>What a day at EXP has in store for you</strong></div><ul><li><div>Prepare preliminary design reports (PDR), design criteria, preliminary and detailed designs associated with new and/or the rehabilitation of divided highways, arterial regional roads, collector roads, and local roads.&nbsp;</div></li><li><div>Prepare preliminary designs for CADD staff and review drawings for compliance with applicable industry and client standards.</div></li><li><div>Prepare Contract Specifications, Tender Documents, and Applications for Agency Approvals.</div></li><li><div>Review and issue finalized Shop Drawings.</div></li><li><div>Coordinate and mentor junior staff working within the division.</div></li><li><div>Liaise with Clients, Sub-consultants, Contractors and construction supervision staff.</div></li><li><div>Assist with the preparation of Proposals for future projects.</div></li></ul><div><br><strong>What your experience looks like</strong><br>&nbsp;</div><ul><li><div>Emphasis and proficiency with MicroStation, Openroads, AutoCAD, Civil 3D. Experience with earlier versions of MicroStation and Inroads will be considered.</div></li><li><div>Strong computer software skills with ProjectWise, Word, Excel &amp; MS Project.</div></li><li><div>Highly proficient in the use of MTO’s software applications CPS and HiCo.</div></li><li><div>Comprehensive knowledge with MTO and Metrolinx standards, including various Municipal &amp; Regional design and drafting standards.</div></li><li><div>Skilled in cost estimating, quantity preparation and specification writing.</div></li><li><div>Have a track record of gaining approval of infrastructure designs from MTO, roads authorities and environmental agencies.</div></li><li><div>Independent, Organized and Motivated Team player with excellent oral and written communication skills.&nbsp;</div></li><li><div>Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and deliver projects under stringent schedules in a fast-paced turnaround environment.</div></li><li><div>At least 5-7 years of experience.&nbsp;</div></li></ul><div>&nbsp;</div><div><br>This job posting is for an existing position vacancy within our organization.</div><div><br>The salary range for this role is between&nbsp;$62K - $82.1K.
