You will ensure the smooth running of the warehouse and yard by safely handling stock, managing deliveries, and keeping inventory organised. You will also support customers in-store by providing great service, product advice, and assisting with sales.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities Include:</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Warehouse &amp; Yard </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Safely operate a forklift and handle materials including loading, unloading, sorting, counting, and organising stock</li>\n<li>Receive incoming goods and allocate them correctly to the warehouse or store</li>\n<li>Prepare and load orders for delivery and monitor stock levels</li>\n<li>Report damaged or missing stock and support order fulfilment across departments</li>\n<li>Work across warehouse, store, and yard areas as needed</li>\n<li>Follow all Work Health &amp; Safety (WHS) policies and procedures</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Customer Service &amp; Sales </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Engage with customers, identify needs, and recommend suitable products</li>\n<li>Process quotes, sales orders, returns, and scheduling accurately</li>\n<li>Build strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business</li>\n<li>Work with internal and external teams to support customer requirements</li>\n<li>Resolve customer issues and escalate where required</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What We're Looking For:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to prioritise tasks and work independently</li>\n<li>Physically fit and able to lift up to 25kg when required</li>\n<li>Previous experience with building materials is an advantage (not essential)</li>\n<li>Strong communication skills and a team-focused attitude</li>\n<li>Reliable with a strong commitment to safe work practices</li>\n<li>Ability to understand customer needs and provide suitable solutions</li>\n<li>Confident in recommending additional products to support sales outcomes</li>\n<li>Accurate with transactions, stock handling, and following safety procedures</li>\n<li>Current Forklift Licence (LF)</li>\n<li>Previous warehouse or yard experience</li>\n<li>Experience in the tiles, building, plumbing or home &amp; garden industry (preferred)</li>\n<li>Clean driving record and valid drivers licence</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">What You'll Get in Return:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Attractive staff discounts across all our premium brands</li>\n<li>Supportive, experienced, and secure team environment with long-standing employees, where collaboration and stability are valued</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Join a business with a proud family history and make an impact from day one.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Apply now to grow your career with Hardware &amp; General!</p>",
