    "requisitionDescription": "<p style=\"margin-left:0in;\" data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>Job Description</strong></p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\">VetPride Services, Inc. is seeking workers to perform general maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings requiring practical skill and knowledge (but not proficiency) in pest control, grounds maintenance, carpentry, and masonry. The Pest Control worker will work under the direct supervision of the Pest Control Supervisor.</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>&nbsp;Location: </strong>Fort Sill Workshops, Building 1953, Fort Sill, OK 73503</p><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Primary Duties and Responsibilities</strong></p><div style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Sprays chemical solutions or toxic gases and sets mechanical traps to kill pests that infest buildings and surrounding areas.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Fumigates rooms and buildings, using toxic gases. Sprays chemical solutions or dusts powders in rooms and work areas.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Places poisonous paste or bait and mechanical traps where pests are present.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">May clean areas that harbor pests, using rakes, brooms, shovels, and mops prepatory to fumigating.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Reviews work orders, surveys, or pre-planned treatment schedules and determines appropriate Pest Control measures.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Following established policies and regulatory requirements, schedule as a preventive measure.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Periodical trouble-shooting inspections of buildings and grounds, considering size and type of environment, e.g. housing areas, billeting, offices, food service areas, storage areas, and warehouses to detect potential infestation.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Coordinates action with activity concerned, Facility Engineers and DPW Pest Management Coordinator and if necessary, Preventive Medicine personnel.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">As a State of Oklahoma, Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry, Certified Pesticide Applicator supervises or personally selects and uses EPA restricted use pesticide approved by Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry for use in the State of Oklahoma.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Based on thorough knowledge of pest species and handling of pesticides, answer emergency calls or answer questions on practical aspects of pest control measures, such as investigations of accidents occurred due to improper use of pesticides.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Consults technical handbooks or obtains guidance from DPW Pest Management Coordinator and MACOM Pest Management Consultant.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Keeps up-to-date with the latest regulatory guidance on Pest Control measures.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Prepares and submits updates for Pest Management Plan.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Keeps detailed records of inspections conducted on each building and type and amount of pesticide sprayed or disposed of.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Daily records work accomplishment and forwards completed work orders and service orders through Service Order department to DPW for appropriate action.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Perform other duties, as assigned.</li></ul></div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Qualifications and Skills</strong></p><ul type=\"square\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Must be at least 18 years of age.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Will be subject to a pre-employment criminal background and DMV check.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Regularly work outdoors in inclement weather including rain, snow, heat and cold.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Consistent attendance and reliability required.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Ability to effectively read, write, and speak English.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Must have the ability to work independently and within established guidelines, follow directions, and work well with others.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Must be able to work off a ladder (up to 16&rsquo; tall) or Aerial lift (scissor lift)</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Experience Requirements</strong></p><ul type=\"square\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Must have a minimum of (2) two years directly related/recent experience.</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Each complete year of accredited college education in a related field may be substituted for the equivalent number of years of required experience.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Required Licenses or Certifications</strong></p><ul type=\"square\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">High school diploma or equivalent</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Must possess a valid/current state issued driver&#39;s license</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Must be certified in the specific areas of pest control in which they are working (ie. trapping, bird control, termite control)</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong>Preferred Licenses or Certifications</strong></p><ul type=\"square\"><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Pest Controllers must also have and maintain a Nuisance Wildlife Control Operator License. Licenses are issued by Department of Wildlife Conservation. General Maintenance employees will be required to take exams online through Department of Wildlife conservation website.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">As a Pest Control General Maintenance worker, you will be required to train alongside a certified Pest Controller performing required duties.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"margin-left:0in;\">Pest Control Maintenance employees will receive study material for the 7 listed applicator exams.
