There is no additional compensation for travel.</p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">ACCOUNTABLE TO:</span> Operations Manager</p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">SUMMARY OF POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES</span>:</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>The Handyman is responsible for performing a variety of repair, maintenance, and improvement tasks in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This role requires a versatile skill set and the ability to work independently to address a wide range of issues. The Handyman plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetics of properties.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">SCHEDULED DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES:</span><br>•    Perform repairs and maintenance tasks on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems.<br>•    Fix and troubleshoot issues with doors, windows, locks, and other fixtures.<br>•    Repair or replace damaged drywall, tiles, flooring, and other surfaces.<br>•    Paint interior and exterior surfaces to maintain or enhance appearance.<br>•    Install and assemble furniture, shelving, appliances, and other items.<br>•    Conduct routine inspections to identify potential maintenance needs.<br>•    Respond promptly to maintenance requests from clients or tenants.<br>•    Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent.<br>•    Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices.<br>•    Assist with snow removal, landscaping, and other seasonal tasks as needed.<br>•    Communicate effectively with clients, tenants, and property managers.</p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">UNSCHEDULED DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES:</span><br>•    Assist supervisor with work related requests.<br>•    Responsible for following regulations of COMAR, CARF, any other regulatory body, and company policies/ procedures related to service delivery and documentation and co-facilitating orientation of all new hires to these as well.<br>•    Support the maintenance of a safe environment by participating in training and drills as requested.<br>•    Maintain confidentiality of records relating to client’s treatment.<br>•    Participate in external and internal audits/surveys (CARF/CSA/OHCQ) as directed by the supervisor.<br>•    Participates in quality assurance and performance improvement plans by completing periodic audits or other activities to ensure regulatory compliance and/or improve service delivery.<br></p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">PHYSICAL DEMANDS</span>:</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>•    Regularly walk, stand or stoop; occasionally lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects weighing up to 100 pounds; and regularly drives a motor vehicle.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">WORKING CONDITIONS</span>:</p>\n<p>•    Work is performed indoors and outdoors, in various weather conditions.<br>•    May be required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.<br>•    Exposure to potentially hazardous materials, heights, and tight spaces.<br>•    Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in certain situations.<br>Qualifications</p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">COMPETENCY / EXPERIENCE</span>:</p>\n<p>•    Proven experience as a handyman or in a similar maintenance role.<br>•    Proficiency in a variety of trades, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and painting.<br>•    Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.<br>•    Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.<br>•    Excellent communication and customer service skills.<br>•    Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.<br>•    Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor.<br>•    Willingness to undergo background checks and drug screenings.<br>•    Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and schedules.<br>•    Continuous learning and willingness to expand skills and knowledge.</p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">EDUCATION</span>:<br>•    High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification is a plus.</p>\n<p><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSE:</span><br>•    Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.</p>\n<p></p>",
