Our company&rsquo;s success is driven by our dynamic, highly skilled, and innovative management team, supported by dedicated employees who&nbsp;live in coastal&nbsp;communities&nbsp;and contribute to the local area&rsquo;s economy and sense of community.</p><p><strong>The Role</strong></p><p>As a result of our robust growth, we are adding a <strong>Deckhand/Bridge Watch</strong> to our team of professionals.&nbsp;</p><p><u>Primary duties of this role include</u><u>&nbsp;</u><u>but are not limited to:</u></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Perform watchkeeping duties as required</li><li>Perform fire and security rounds</li><li>Perform general maintenance and hygiene duties as directed, including painting, cleaning, and planned maintenance work</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;<u>Qualifications/Requirements/Attributes:</u></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Bridge Watch Rating Certificate of Competency (Transport Canada) to SCTW 95</li><li>Marine Emergency Duties (MED) A1</li><li>Valid Standard First Aid and CPR</li><li>WHMIS Certificate</li><li>Valid Passport with the ability to enter the US</li><li>Valid Transport Canada Marine Medical</li><li>Able to handle multiple tasks</li><li>Experience in a Canadian marine environment in bridge look-out duties and steering duties</li><li>Experience using deck machinery or equipment</li><li>A certification in the Transportation of Dangerous Goods will be considered an asset.</li><li>As per company policy, a&nbsp;clear result of a pre-employment criminal background check.</li></ul><p>Salary commensurate with experience, which includes a competitive health and dental benefit package.</p><p><strong>The Opportunity</strong></p><p>The role description is just one part of the story.
