The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for implementing the daily maintenance plan for mechanical and mobile maintenance.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>REPORTS TO: </strong>Maintenance Manager</p><p><br></p><p><strong>EQUIPMENT USED:</strong></p><p>Including, but not limited to, measuring tools, personal computers, drafting tools and programs, and calculators.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:</strong></p><p><br></p><p>Must be physically capable of any physical assignment.</p><p>Must be able to climb steps, ladders, and traverse walkways (including catwalks).</p><p>No fear of heights or confined spaces.</p><p>Adequate vision and hearing to allow satisfactory job performance.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:</strong></p><p><br></p><p>Ability to read common workplace documents including letters, procedures, manuals, warning labels, and signs.</p><p>Ability to understand complex information, technical jargon, and acronyms.</p><p>Ability to compose grammatically correct written messages.</p><p>Mathematical reasoning skills for workplace situations involving money, time, measurements, fractions, and decimals.</p><p>Ability to understand and use information from charts, graphs, tables, forms, maps, and drawings.</p><p>Understanding of technologies related to electricity, mechanics, fluid mechanics, and thermodynamics.</p><p>Ability to make informed decisions quickly in a stressful environment.</p><p>Participation in and successful completion of various company-sponsored, work-related training.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>JOB DUTIES:</strong></p><p><br></p><p>Manage daily planned and reactive maintenance in coordination with maintenance foremen.</p><p>Provide leadership for safety and environmental programs within the maintenance departments.</p><p>Support the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) through timely completion of work orders and disciplined charge-out of spare parts.</p><p>Contribute to the development and updating of weekly and quarterly maintenance plans and schedules.</p><p>Assist with the preparation of preventive maintenance routines and manage the preventive maintenance program.</p><p>Assist with the predictive maintenance program criteria and manage its implementation.</p><p>Responsible for plant utilities including compressed air, water, steam, heating, and air conditioning.</p><p>Responsible for the discipline, performance appraisals, and personal development of all personnel within the maintenance departments.</p><p>Work with the purchasing manager to minimize and control the spare parts inventory.</p><p>Assist in the preparation and management of the operating budget for maintenance activities.</p><p>Hold regular maintenance cost review meetings with staff.</p><p>Coordinate regularly with the production department to ensure timely equipment maintenance and repair.</p><p>Assist with the development of major maintenance scope and schedules.</p><p>Maintain detailed maintenance records for optimization and documentation.</p><p>Perform other duties as assigned. Job duties are subject to change as directed by management.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:</strong></p><p><br></p><p>High school diploma preferred; two-year technical degree in a related field desired.</p><p>Five years of maintenance supervisory experience in a cement plant required.</p><p>History of leadership, cooperation, and positive communication desirable.</p><p>Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions, policies, procedures, and checklists.</p><p>Ability to write sufficiently to complete company records, logs, and inspection forms.</p><p>Capability to satisfactorily complete certification training as required by the company.</p><p>Required to attend mandatory training sessions such as safety, first aid, and training resulting from equipment modifications or process changes.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS:</strong></p><p><br></p><p>Required to work inside or outside during inclement weather.</p><p>Required to work overtime and on A, B, or C shifts as needed.</p><p>Required to work in an industrial environment with hazards such as very hot or cold conditions, heights, and confined spaces.</p><p>Required to wear company-approved safety equipment including hard hats, safety glasses, ear plugs, safety shoes, harnesses, gloves, protective suits, dust masks, and respirators.</p></div>\n",
