Trinity Catholic High School located in Ocala, Florida, serves families in the 9th–12th grades.</p><p>Trinity Catholic is seeking a qualified full-time Guidance Counselor for the 2026-2027 school year. As a professional educator in a Catholic school, the counselor will:</p><ul><li>Have an understanding that TC is a Catholic High School and an appreciation and commitment to upholding the Catholic spiritual and intellectual traditions as they are the foundation of all things at the school.</li><li>A master’s degree in school counseling is required.</li><li>Hold a valid Professional Certificate from the State of Florida or eligible for State Certification (6-12) in the specific subject area.</li><li>Applicants who are practicing Catholics preferred.</li><li>Demonstrated skills and knowledge of education, communication, and people skills.</li><li>Counsels students to help them understand and overcome personal, social, or behavioral problems affecting their educational situations.</li><li>Provides crisis intervention to students when difficult situations occur at schools.</li><li>Confers with parents or guardians, teachers, administrators, and other professionals to discuss children's progress, resolve behavioral, academic, and other problems, and to determine priorities for students and their resource needs.</li><li>Maintains accurate and complete student records as required by law, district policies, and administrative regulations.</li><li>Prepares students for later educational experiences by encouraging them to explore learning opportunities and to persevere with challenging tasks.</li><li>Identifies cases of domestic abuse or other family problems and encourages students or parents to seek additional assistance from mental health professionals.</li><li>Collaborates with teachers and administrators in the development, evaluation, and revision of school programs and in the preparation of master schedules for curriculum offerings.</li><li>Presents self-help or information sessions on subjects related to education and career planning.</li><li>Collaboratively work to ensure that students receive all necessary information to assist them in college planning, application and acceptance.</li><li>Attends meetings, educational conferences, and training workshops and serves on committees as needed.</li><li>Contributes to a team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.</li><li>Confidentiality is essential.</li><li>Performs other duties as needed.</li><li>Employment is contingent on the applicant passing a full background check.</li><li>Upon employment, the individual will be subject to a 90-day probationary period.</li></ul>",
