Job Title: Level 1 – Maintenance
Job Summary:
Under the supervisor and direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, perform tasks related to outdoor property maintenance, indoor facility maintenance and assist janitorial staff as required .
Responsibility :
Manage outdoor maintenance including
Shoveling snow
Salting the parking lots, laneways, sidewalks and yard
Cutting grass
Landscaping
Manage indoor facility maintenance including:
Painting
Floor scrubber
Operate floor scrubber, lawn mower, Mobile Elevated Work Platform (with license), maintenance cart and forklift.
Maintain equipment in a safe and clean manner.
Ability to close work orders (RFM’s) using the maintenance computer system
Provide back-up support to Janitorial staff, as needed.
Minimum one year experience in a manufacturing or equivalent working environment (an asset)
Ability to use basic hand tools, painting tools, and measuring tools
Ability to work in various weather conditions (outdoors)
Certification in MEWP (3a and 3b) – comfortable working at heights
Attend training as required
Academic/Educational Requirements :
Highschool diploma or equivalent experience
Required Skills/Experience :
Experience in a manufacturing or equivalent working environment (an asset)
Ability to use basic hand tools, painting tools, and measuring tools
Ability to work in various weather conditions (outdoors)
Certification in MEWP (3a and 3b) – comfortable working at heights
Attend training as required
