Our expertise spans traditional electrical contracting, security solutions, audio-visual integration, wireless networking, and building management systems.</p>\n<h2>Job Summary</h2>\n<p>Miller Electric has an immediate need for an Electrical Workforce Development Manager in Dallas, TX</p>\n<p> </p>The ideal candidate would be an experienced IBEW Journeyman Wireman with a strong grasp of the Electrical Training Alliance (ETA) apprenticeship model and a solid understanding of IBEW structure, standards, and culture. \n<p>The Electrical Workforce Development Manager reports directly to our Senior Director of Workforce Development. This is a client-facing role that requires the ability to be self-motivated, work independently and build relationships both in and out of the office. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and effectiveness of our trade professional workforce at your assigned branch locations. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Essential Duties & Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Regional Employment Needs Assessment: Gain a comprehensive understanding of the workforce requirements at the assigned branch, identifying and implementing strategies to meet their workforce needs.</li>\n <li>Branch Leadership Collaboration: Work closely and consistently with the leadership team at the assigned branch to align workforce development activities with organizational goals and objectives.</li>\n <li>Local ETA Coordination: Liaise with the local Electrical Training Alliance (ETA) to manage the application, hiring, and referral processes for Construction Wiremen (CWs) and apprentices, promoting apprenticeship programs.</li>\n <li>Union Collaboration: Foster a collaborative working relationship with the Local Union to facilitate seamless integration and development of new hires.</li>\n <li>Community Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong partnerships with schools, military organizations, community groups, and other entities that are potential sources of talent, including high schools and second-chance organizations.</li>\n <li>Career Fair Participation: Represent Miller Electric Company at career fairs and speaking events to communicate career opportunities to prospective candidates.</li>\n <li>Event Coordination: Organize and coordinate hiring events in collaboration with the specific branch, ensuring effective execution and candidate engagement.</li>\n <li>Recruitment Marketing: Create, distribute, and manage recruiting brochures and notifications about hiring and career opportunities at Miller Electric Company for the assigned region.</li>\n <li>Employee Training Coordination: Provide comprehensive training for new employees, including programs such as Trade Pro Academy and safety bootcamps, ensuring a strong foundation for career success.</li>\n <li>Field Employee Advocacy: Serve as a supportive advocate for new trade professional employees, offering guidance and assistance to ensure their successful integration into the workforce.</li>\n <li>Branch Team Support: Become the indispensable go-to point-of-contact for branch teams regarding all aspects of attracting, developing, and retaining trade professionals.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>REQUIRED\n<ul>\n <li>Experienced commercial or industrial electrician, IBEW Journeyman Wireman</li>\n <li>Understanding of the Electrical Training Alliance (ETA) apprenticeship</li>\n <li>Understanding of the IBEW (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers)</li>\n <li>Self-starter, dependable and can speak in front of large groups</li>\n <li>Able to manage multiple WFD initiatives simultaneously</li>\n <li>Willing to travel as needed</li>\n <li>Adept at speaking and relating to high school students, school administrators, electricians, project managers and all the way up to Executives at Miller</li>\n <li>Be able to work independently in many different environments</li>\n</ul>PREFERRED\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Workforce Development, education or related field of study</li>\n <li>Previous experience as an ETA instructor</li>\n <li>Proficient in Microsoft 365</li>\n <li>Bi-lingual (Spanish)</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Benefits</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Medical and Dental (100% of the premium covered by Miller Electric)</li>\n <li>401k retirement with company matching</li>\n <li>Vision plans</li>\n <li>Disability Insurance</li>\n <li>Basic and Supplemental Life Insurance </li>\n <li>Flexible Spending Accounts</li>\n <li>Travel Accident Insurance </li>\n <li>Paid Vacation & Holidays</li>\n <li>Tuition Reimbursement Program</li>\n <li>College Coach Services</li>\n <li>Wellness initiatives</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>#miller #LI-SJ1</p>\n<h2>Equal Opportunity Employer</h2>As a leading provider of mechanical and electrical construction, facilities services, and energy infrastructure, we offer employees a competitive salary and benefits package and we are always looking for individuals with the talent and skills required to contribute to our continued growth and success.
